Had to swap rooms several times due to FILTHY bed sheets/towels/ overall room. The third time around they wouldn’t even swap me anymore, they just sent the bellboy up to my room and had him change my comforter and sheets, which were also dirty. They also tried to charge me for a water that I did not drink. When I asked them to put me in a different hotel, they said company policy says we can’t do that. They never apologized for anything and acted like I was an inconvenience

overall, the facilities were great. I had some difficulty with the air conditioning in my room and the ability to receive fresh towels when needed , however, when I brought it to the attention of front desk staff. it was immediately addressed.

Location was great, short walk to Copacabana beach, restaurants and shoping. Breakfast was good, hotel needed some TLC. Sheets were torn, shower walls had blood on them.

Hotel Astoria Copacabana is an excellent bargain hotel with features that make it more than just a bargain: gym equipment, a pool, free breakfast, cordial front-desk staff, and a highly convenient location in between two Metrô stops and two blocks from the beach. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to experience Rio on a budget.

I would recommend this hotel to family and friends, it's very convenient, and close to the beach, stores, restaurants, subway, bus stop. Excellent breakfast buffet, superb service. Receptionists speak good english, helpful, friendly as well the servers. I would definitely gonna book again in this hotel.

The property is in a quiet, safe and good location, Near to metro, restaurants and groceries. Internet was reliable and breakfast was great. This is my 4th time staying here however, this time there are big cockroaches wandering around my room, it was nasty. I hope they will resolve this issue.

I arrived early in the morning and was not due to check in until 2.00pm. I asked the man on reception if he could let me know if a room became available sooner so I could pay for another day and he found one immediately. The room was clean and the breakfast was good. The staff were all friendly. It was an easy walk to the beach. All in all, a good experience.
