There is an odor in the cabin that was very unpleasant. Several things are broken. Blinds. Ice maker. Stove knob for one of the burners. Toilet handles need to be replaced. We couldn’t get in with the code. Had to use the key in the lockbox. Gas is almost empty in the gas grill. The cabin looked like the pictures and the layout worked well for our stay.

Hot tub was not in clean condition. Water was dirty. Was disappointing as we were looking forward to it. Overall floor cleanliness had room for improvement. Missing dishwashing detergent.

Great cabin, steep drive way
The cabin was a great stay and location. The only negative to the property was the drive way to get up. One of our vehicles is was a smaller SUV and almost got stuck going up the hill.

It was perfect. The cabin was the perfect size. The landscape was gorgeous. Everything was great. Only suggestion would be to have an ice maker and possibly TVs in the bedrooms. Everyone had a great stay. We thank you.

Fantastic Cabin
This cabin was perfect for our family. With ages ranging from 2 to 68, we found plenty to do to keep us busy. The thirty-somethings hiked the trails, the little ones took some short hikes, and all enjoyed the hot tub. The large dining room table was fantastic at mealtime. We'd love to return in warmer weather.

Best Cabin I Have Ever Stayed At
Flawless experience. Had all of the amenities, cleaned to perfection for our arrival, kitchen was more than well equipped to handle any large group and all of the appliances to cook any meal. Plenty of spices, seasonings, etc.. general items that you would need to bring for other cabin experiences. Hot tub and outdoor space was incurable. Will be staying again in the future and recommending to friends/family.

Pine ridge cabin
The cabin was great, beautiful just as advertised. The ONLY negatives I can say are; ice machine didn’t work, so take ice. The propane tank ran out of gas within 5 minutes of putting food on the grill. I was eternally grateful for the kitchen. Every choice of cookware I could imagine. Plenty of dishes too. Everything was excellent! We really enjoyed our time there, regardless of the rain. It’s also just a short drive to the under ground kayak adventure and other fun tourist destinations. The cabin itself is isolated though, definitely a plus! The description says “4wheel drive recommended” and thankfully we drove ours. The rest of the group made it without it. I’d recommend taking yours if that’s an option. Thank you so much for making our short family surprise birthday a blast! Hoping to make it an annual family trip!

Location, Location…
The ONLY negative is that there just isn’t that much light inside, especially in the kitchen and dining room. This made it harder to see what we were preparing. Other than that, the property is exactly as listed, with plenty of seclusion and lots of space. My family from 6 to 72 years old found plenty to do, and all really enjoyed the cabin feel, trails on the property, and awesome nearby hiking for any skill level. The property manager was extremely friendly and helpful. We never had a single issue, even with the strongest storms anyone in the area could remember. We’d definitely stay there again.

A cozy cabin getaway off the beaten path
The cabin was clean and beautiful! The property was nice and the private trails were a good bonus, though they were a bit overgrown from lack of use. The gravel driveway was a bit treacherous, especially when it poured rain! Definately heed the advice for 4 wheel drive vehicles. Parking space for 6 cars comfortably. Most of the beds were great, but take caution that 2 of the twin beds were trundle pull outs that were not ideal for adults. Overall an excellent stay! Out agent Kassie was amazing!!!

Excellent little getaway!
The cabin itself was everything we had hoped for and more. It was stocked with essentials which were super helpful! The location was perfectly located for all of our little hiking excursions and trips we wanted to do. The book they provided was helpful for local places to check out for hikes and restaurants. They truly thought of everything someone would need for their stay, so PLENTY of towels, linens, kitchen towels, utensils etc. very well thought out for sure! Perfect for our large family gathering we all and we all had a great time. The outdoor fire pit was perfect for us to relax after a long day of hiking and the kids enjoyed all of the space to free range. Our only slight complaint is that the grill was out of propane and we decided to be proactive and just fill it for them which we weren’t able to be reimbursed for. Our thoughts were, we wanted to make one trip into town and after attempting to get ahold of someone unsuccessfully, we did it ourselves. We weren’t aware that there wasn’t an after hours number for us to get ahold of someone right away should we need it, so just a heads up…call before 6pm if you need anything! It wasn’t detrimental and in the end it wasn’t a big deal so whomever stays next, enjoy the propane! 😃 The hot tub water was low and a little cloudy which made the jets shoot the water out but housekeeping came the next morning to fix it all and it worked perfectly after that. Overall, it was well suited for our family!

Incredible Outdoor Adventure in the Mountains
When I booked this property, I knew it had 40 private acres. We could not wait to explore! The property description is vague so I’ll do my best to describe what we experienced. This property is in the heart of Red River Gorge. When you arrive, the driveway is long and steep. Very happy to have an AWD vehicle! It is wooded and private. There are a number of walking trails on the property that have been well maintained. The first path we took brought us along sand stone bluffs that looked incredible to climb. I’m 30 weeks pregnant with small children so our feet stayed grounded but if you’re into climbing, very cool features! Even if you don’t climb, they were incredible to see. God’s creation is amazing. Splitting from this main path is a path to the “creek.” This path is a steep downhill experience along the most beautiful waterfalling creek. The kids had a blast exploring the multi-colored stones, small fossils, wiggly salamanders, and more! Keep following the creek to a grassy flat land where the creeks turns into a large creek or small river. The water was about to my knee in the deepest places. The banks offered sandy places for kids to dig and play. We found small fish and crawfish. We swam and splashed and played for hours! These features alone, made it difficult to leave the property to do any of the many offerings around the property. We did make it to creation falls. Again, everyone had a blast swimming and playing in the falls, along the bluffs, and hiking the trail. I wish we had stayed longer to experience more of what Red River Gorge has to offer. I guess we’ll just have to come back! Now for the cabin. The feeling was rustic and charming. It is well maintained, clean, and offered everything we needed for two families. The beds were comfortable! The washer and dryer was a huge bonus and allowed us to pack lightly. We made all of our meals on the property. The kitchen had everything we needed in two family appropriate sizes. The wrap around porch was a great place to hang out. We spent mornings drinking coffee there, afternoons rocking on the front covered porch to escape the sun, evenings having supper on the large outdoor table, and of course time soaking in the hot tub after our long hikes. Hopefully this helps make your decision easier. This property is an A+. We hope to visit again soon.
