This site came up when we searched for Mario de' Fiori 37 and appeared to be part of Margutta chain. We assumed that former was the same quality as the latter, but with apartments rather than a hotel room. Whether unintended or not, it is deceptive and led us to book through Expedia for I Fiori De' Mario Suites, rather than Mario de' Fiori 37.
We did not stay in this hotel and requested a refund from Expedia. It was totally unacceptable.
To check in, you go to Mario di Fiori 37 and they call the reception person who comes to take you to their apartments. Front hall was dirty, creepy. Stairs, with no elevator; not good for seniors. Room and setup was not as it appeared; smaller useful space. Reception set up in front of room. Was a kitchen facility in back of room, which they said would be closed off and not available.
We indicated that we could not stay there. Reception people had no acceptable alternative. They were with us when we made alternate arrangements at the Mario de Fiori 37 to stay at Margutta 19, an affiliated hotel. At that point, I was still under the belief that I Fiori De'' Mario Suites, Mario de Fiori 37 and Margutta 19 were part of the same group. The I Fiori De'' Mario Suites personnel indicated that they would have to process payment for the room due to Expedia policy, but we could contact Expedia who would call them. Suites would not refund when Expedia contacted them and Expedia said because payment to Suites, they could do nothing! Not acceptable!
