Recent description from one of our guests "The beds are so comfortable and it is so much more than the photos show; it is so nice to wake up in the mornings to sounds of birds chirping".
The property is located only 3 miles from the Riverwalk and Convention Center Downtown! This desirable Monte Vista neighborhood and central location is perfect to enjoy both local and touristy venues. The neighborhood is generally quiet but on occasion, music from Trinity, the Sunken Gardens or other San Antonio festivities may be heard at a distance. In close proximity to farmers' markets and two universities, Trinity and Incarnate Word. Local and unique shops nearby. Tasty restaurants within walking distance. Dinner and music venues both casual and sophisticated not far away.
The place is spacious consisting of 1,300 square feet, hardwood floors, a formal living room and dining room, 2 bedrooms &1 bath; Bedroom 1 has a king bed (sleeps 2) and Bedroom 2 has two full-size beds (sleeps 4) and a sleeper sofa in the living room, sleeps 2. Has a washer and dryer, a work desk, TV (antenna channels, some DVDs, Sling TV, Starz and HBO), clothes hangers, bath towels, shampoo, soap, and a hair dryer.
Has a charming original and basic 1930s kitchen (pots and pans, wine glasses, and basic cooking utensils are included), kitchen appliances are an antique Tappan stove with a gas range for cooking (PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE IS NO OVEN FOR USE), refrigerator, toaster, microwave and basic coffee maker. Our goal is to retain this 1930s property in its original design, so please know that there are limited outlets and counter space.
There is an HEB grocery store a few blocks away, there is a YMCA under a mile away to work out for those with membership, and it's located within a mile or so of the Quarry Market and the Pearl Brewery, a local favorite. There are several golf courses within a short distance from the property. The location is so central that although you are in San Antonio which is a large city, it has a small local feel due to nearby proximity to shopping, the downtown area, and the Pearl to name a few.
This place is perfect for travelers that appreciate 1930s architecture and have nostalgia and love for charming older homes. The architecture of homes and neighborhood takes you back to 1930s San Antonio!
If you like antiques, there are quite a bit of antique stores in near proximity off Hildebrand and others off McCullough.
