Central location and good value.
Excellent location with easy access to tourist sites and public transport. Quiet and comfortable, clean and good value with helpful staff. If accessing from bus stop, check with hotel for instructions how to avoid dragging luggage up a steep incline as there is a lift available through a nearby arcade.

Great access to the centre of the city and to the cable car, Te Papa, Parliament, shopping and the railway station. Also great to have access to a washing machine and basic cooking within the room. No noise from neighbouring apartments. No aircon means that the window needs to be open all the time (in summer anyway) - there is a lot of noise outside from people noise to clanging metal. To be fair it was generally quiet after 10pm but started again around 7am. Fan also provided in the apartment and it was effective.

We had a great stay at Gilmer. It is situated well in the CBD close to restaurants, shops, and the harbor. The apartment was clean and spacious for two, and having a washer was helpful at this point in our trip. Parking was easy, though there are limited spots.

The property is highly placed over Wellington but with an easy route directly to Lambton Quay. Not a very nice area of carparks to walk through but we felt perfectly safe. Comfortable accomodation that we would book again

The property was within easy walking to local shops and landmarks. There is a walk through a car park which is handy- being with someone else would be better. We didnt have a lift for our stay which was hard given our cases needed to be carried. The staff however were helpful and went out of their way to find solutions.

We stayed 2 nights at this property. Unfortunately the elevator was not working so we had to walk up 3 flights of stairs. They did offer to take our bags up for us and gave us a free room upgrade. The room was smaller than some we have stayed in, but adequate and had everything we needed. Good supply of high quality teas, coffee and hot chocolate. The staff were friendly and helpful, and very apologetic about the elevator. I accidentally left a book at reception on our final day and they were happy to post it to me. The hotel is a short walk to Lampton Quay where there is good shopping and many eateries. We would be happy to stay there again.
