I'll start off by saying the positive, which is the staff at this hotel was excellent. They're courteous, professional, and helpful, which I really appreciate.
The downside about this hotel is things I don't know if they'll be able to really fix.
If you book at this hotel, know that you won't have the standard amenities that you get at other Marriott hotels, which is surprising and disappointing.
Also, if you want a good night's sleep, this isn't a hotel that you should choose. There is a rooftop restaurant that also acts as a bar and club. They play incredibly loud music until 1 a.m., which you can hear in your room. So if you're booking this hotel for a business trip and you need your sleep, I would pick a different hotel.
The area around the hotel is convenient. It's across the street from the Riverwalk. Heads up, if you book the Riverview at this hotel, you're going to be paying extra. There is no Riverview. Literally, you have to look out at a tiny corner of the window and you'll see a sliver of the Riverwalk. You can barely see it. It's not worth paying the extra money for a basically non-existent Riverview. You'll see many reviews about this saying the same thing.
Overall, the staff is excellent, but I would not return to this hotel. I would choose one of the other Marriott properties with better amenities, location, and for a more quality night's sleep.
