Based on some negative reviews, I started to change hotels, I’m glad that I didn’t. This property is amazing!!! It was very clean. The outside of the buildings could use a good power wash, otherwise everything else was immaculate. Staying within the Mission Bay Park area was a non-issue. We didn’t have any problems with the general public or homeless in the park. Also, while the bay area near the resort is not all that beautiful (in my opinion), the water is clear and swim friendly. It’s a nice community beach that you can literally walk out the resort and be on the water. As far as the pool, the area was very clean, towels were always stocked, and they had pool side food and drink service. The restaurants on the property were great. The food was fresh and I had amazing fish tacos. Some reviewers stated the pool area was not clean. I found this to be untrue. The staff was constantly checking the pool for trash and debris and cleaning it, immediately. My recommendation is book this property if you really want to relax and enjoy the amenities. If you plan to be off resort for the majority of your stay, I recommend staying at a basic hotel. The draw for this hotel is the resort. We did a mix of site seeing and things on the resort. If you are seeking rest and relaxation, while being in the city but feeling like you are tucked away, this place is it!! Beware of the $39/night resort fee and $43/night parking. You can easily park on Mission Park Drive for free.

The property is conveniently located near water; it has great vacation/relaxation potential. However, the property is poorly maintained. The guest rooms are dirty; there is dust everywhere; it seems that rooms do not get proper cleaning at all. It is sad that such a great vacation destination has such poor management.

It was very noisy, full of kids younger than 9 so the pool was so noisy and the room was not that clean. The toilette ws old and underneath the toilette seat was not even clean. Thank God we were only there 1 night but for almost $500 a night, I think you need cleanliness requirements that this place didn’t have at all.

Amazing experience and wonderful stay all around and I really enjoyed my weekend. Arrived on a Friday evening and stay till Sunday. We enjoyed bike riding and yoga in the morning on the lawn, facing the ocean and even had some lovely brunch and had a cabana for the afternoon by the pool. Fireworks every evening could be seen from our balcony. I'm very happy and would highly recommend staying at this resort.

Stay was great except we were delayed several hours before our room was ready beyond check in. The front desk was able to provide us with some room credits which was nice. The restaurant on site was disappointing but the pool, beach and room were all great.

Parking fee was extortion! 43 a night self-park and not fully gated or secure. Should have included parking in your standard resort fees. Bay was useless, overall too expensive to pay almost 500 per night for just an "ok" resort.

Dirty, bad area! You don’t feel safe!
Hotel was really dirty. Everything! Bathroom, rugs, carpet, balcony everything. Coffee maker was broker, we called them to see if the can fix it and they said in the phone somebody will be there soon, guess what nobody showed up or fix it or nothing. And everything around there is really ghetto. We didn’t feel safe. Pretty disappointed!

My family and I really enjoyed our stay. Staff were wonderful and facility was relaxing. Very close to Sea World and Mission Beach. Only complaint would be the rooms had a strong, humid, ocean smell to them.
