We have been going to The Oaks for many, many years. We are soo disappointed! Everything was clean but the carpeting! It was dark when we moved in as we went out to family on Friday. When got back & turned on the lights, I was pissed off. The carpeting wasn't just dirty but had stains that led me to believe that it's been that way for awhile. Wearing those free shoes aren't enough to make me stay in that room. We moved but you can tell it wasn't the sparkle we are used to in the new room. I'll call & ask if the carpeting has been cleaned in the last few months before I stay there again! This is just being cheap & cutting corners to try and "save" money! I believe it was 213 for the 1st room & we moved to 310 for the second night. It was under Hawkins, Oct 18th & 19th. It's not the staff, it's the owners, as staff wouldn't be allowed to have a company come out & clean up this mess because of the money involved. AND we weren't the only ones with this problem. How disappointing!

Only 1 night stay during road trip. This property is older and needs a refresh but was very quiet and room was clean! Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good with a variety of choices. Staff was friendly! I’d probably stay here again

The Oaks stay
We’ve been staying at The Oaks when visiting Paso Robles for over 10 years. It’s under new ownership and it seems as though the overall maintenance and upkeep are behind what it once was. The front desk area is not inviting, it appears messy and stacked with things that should be stored elsewhere, including a big printer. The furniture in the room was warn and scraped up. It just needs a bit of an update. However, It’s still a comfortable place to stay and has a wonderful breakfast.

I receiving numerous emails and text messages from the Oaks which was annoying I confirmed my room cleaning twice online and in person at the FD, despite all this room when I came back at 5 pm room was not cleaned . They finally called cleaning lady who made the bed and took out trash. Didn’t even vacuumed the room. Hot tub - not working Pool - not heating . Water refill - not working Homeless people live on the street across hotel in their cars Room - good size but old carpet and furniture. This should be $100 / night not $ 200 Would not recommend staying there

Very clean hotel and guest room. Prices were rather high, but probably on par with similar hotels in Paso Robles. A $10 bottled beer was overpriced.

Overall it is a nice hotel. It needs a very deep cleaning. Fix the hot tub, so many people were disappointed that it was broken. The staff were fantastic. The people serving breakfast did a great job of keeping everything fresh and full. The location is a little hard to find and get on the city about cleaning up the surrounding area.

A Hotel Close to The Concert
This was our second stay at this hotel. We attend concerts at Vina Robles Amphitheatre and this is a clean, convenient place to stay.

The property is very nice and our room was spacious and very comfortable. They have a nice swimming pool and a wonderful breakfast buffet every morning. I would definitely stay at the Oaks again.

The rooms are clean, pillows are comfortable, carpet was terribly stained n this room but otherwise room is clean. Breakfast was behind, eggs weren’t ready, ran out of coffee. Only one person at check in from 3-4 which is crazy. I did online check in but still had to wait in line 4 deep. May shop around next time for a place to stay.

Hotel is in a nice area however the pool was FREEZING cold and unswimmable, the breakfast was disgusting (just skip it and go to town- thank me later), our a/c turned off every 30 minutes which woke me up and last but not least the entire facility wreaked of raid (or some other cheap bug spray) it wasn’t the best hotel and it wasn’t the worst- but I wouldn’t stay here again

The property was fine, there were a few things out of order like the water filter. The staff wasn't great, weren't real knowledgeable about anything. The bathroom was not well vented, wallpaper lifting, when shower on the floor became very wet due to not ventilating well, dangerous, I had to use towels to mop up. The toilet didn't flush well at all. There were spots on the carpet. The room was clean, bed was a bit hard but fine. The A/C kept turning lower, it was a hot weekend. The breakfast was good and ample room. Easy safe well lit parking, easy access to town and wineries.

I’m not happy with the Oaks hotel. It looked nothing like the pictures and was very outdated. The pool and hot tub were very dirty. There was a used Bandaid floating in the pool. I’m not happy. It definitely wasn’t worth the money. Btw, they told me that I could’ve saved money and gotten a free bottle of wine had I booked with them directly. I would like a refund please.

This is an older hotel and you can truly tell by the worn furniture, filthy looking carpeting in room, black mold in the bathroom around the handicap bar in the shower. The bed was very comfortable and bed linens were clean. The vent fan in bathroom and light over shower do not work. Haven’t had breakfast but a full breakfast is offered. Hotel was very quiet, especially in our room facing the back of the hotel and staff very kind and accommodating. If the owners/operators of this hotel put some funding into cleaning up the infrastructure of the building (plumbing, carpeting, bathrooms), it would be excellent. Nice bathrobes and even slippers provided. Oh, the pool was freezing and the spa was not remotely hot. A true mixed bag.
