Casa Colibri is a stunning ridgetop home located near the Santa Fe Opera in northern New Mexico. It offers three bedrooms, two and a half baths, and breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding mountains, including the Sangre de Cristo, Jemez, Ortiz, and Sandia ranges. One of the highlights of the property is a well-placed hot tub that allows guests to relax while enjoying the star-filled night sky.

The house was designed by Ralph Gillis AIA, a New York architect who spent his early years in Santa Fe working with Alexander Girard. Gillis's expertise in passive solar design is evident in Casa Colibri, as the house takes advantage of natural sunlight for heating and lighting. The interior design was done by Laban Wingert and Jane Adkins ASID (associate), creating a stylish and comfortable living space.

One of the notable features of this home is that each room offers a unique view of the surrounding countryside, allowing guests to appreciate the beauty of the area from every corner. The landscaping has been thoughtfully designed to minimize the need for irrigation, with the property sitting on 2 1/2 acres of natural piƱones and juniper trees. The outdoor covered portal features a traditional kiva fireplace, providing a cozy atmosphere for outdoor gatherings and dining. Guests can also enjoy stunning sunset views from this area.

Vistas for days!
The beautiful property was a delight in every way. It is a hilltop location with natural beauty and views all around. A well-appointed kitchen and multiple places to dine made every meal a delight. I can't recommend it enough!
