This may be one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. There truly is not enough good things we can say about the place. When we landed in Siem Reap, the hotel provided us with a ride from the airport even though they normally only provided that service for guests staying longer than we had originally booked for. When we arrived we immediately fell in love with the place as it is serenely yet breathtakingly beautiful; with warm wood and cool stone blended in a way that made us feel like we were in a modern luxury hotel while still remaining true to its Cambodian roots. However, despite the gorgeous decor, excellent amenities, and excellently sized and furnished rooms, the most delightful thing about the resort is its staff. From the front doormen, to the receptionists and housekeeping staff, every single encounter we had with one of the staff members made us feel like we were truly welcomed guests and that they were actually happy to have us stay with them. We came away from every single encounter happier and feeling a sense of awe and gratefulness that we have never gotten from any other resort experience, even at other fabulous places we have stayed in the past. We loved it so much that we extended our stay by 2 days and found things to do in Siem Reap (which was easy as there is so much around the area that is worth staying for), just so we could stay at the resort longer. We are sad we are leaving and worried that the rest of hotels on our trip will disappoint us.
