The check in was chaotic and the person who checked me in did not explain anything about getting to my room or hotel facilities. The shuttle bus to get to the airport in the morning which I paid for was really really smelly and unclean. I can’t emphasise this enough. The driver was a nice guy though.

Tried to contact property to sort out shuttle bus - this was too much inconvenience (flight had been delayed into Sydney so it was post 11pm) then when arrived it took over 30 mins to book in (travelling with a child this seemed ridiculous and when it was actually time to present details for reservation the colleague told me to wait as he had to sort out some details on the computer which surely could have been completed post us booking in so we could get to the room??)

Perfect hotel Holiday Inn Express Sydney Airport
This Holiday Inn Express is an excellent hotel. Our room was spotless and very well designed. Everything about this property is first class. A great buffet breakfast was also included and the hotel is only a short walk from the Domestic Airport Terminal. This hotel is highly recommended.

My family of 4 stayed here the night before our departure at the airport. We walked from the domestic terminal to the hotel (wasn’t paying $48 ($12x4) for a ride to the hotel when it was about a 10min walk), but opted for an Uber to the international terminal the following morning, which was about $45. Clean, comfortable & convenient room for a quick stay. The included breakfast was great!

The room was a bit cramped. Everything needed self-service. For example, if you want to order dinner from the on-site restaurant, you place an order online and pick up yourself from the reception. No room service. I chose to dine in the dining area which was co-located in the reception, but I still had to pick-up my food from the reception desk. No table service. If you need anything in the room, you have to go to the reception and pick-up yourself.

The room was clean and pleasant. However, we were very disappointed with the room service. We received 2 phone calls to inform us that food we had ordered wasn't available, so we chose something different that was $2 more than the original order, and was asked to go downstairs to pay the difference, which I felt was a little unprofessional. Then when we received the food, it was cold so my husband took it back downstairs to have it rewarmed. After the staff rewarmed it, it was still cold in the middle. The pizza tasted like the base had moisture in it, like a mouldy taste, and the sauce on the nachos was too strong. It was uneatable, that we just feed the kids snacks for dinner. A very disappointing $70 spent. The buffet breakfast was lovely.

During my living in this hotel, on one day night at around 11:00 pm, I call the receptionist to ask them to give me 2 bath towels and 1 tooth paste and told him my room number. He told me he was busy with the new customers……and told me just wait for a moment , I was like fine I can wait . But after over 30 mins no any phone call back and no response to my request. And I call the receptionist again, and he told me he forgot to call back and forgot my room number , so I told him it’s 434. And he told me he’ll be there with towels and tooth paste. It’s already 00:00 am in the morning. And after 30 mins, still no one show up. And I call the receptionist again, he told me he thought it was room 424…….then I was annoyed about his poor service. I have no idea it was really a super easy task, I need 2 towels and 1 tooth paste…. But I had to be waiting for an hour!!!!!!!!! WTH with the staff ? Whats going on with his brain?
