Beautiful surroundings. This used to be the ultimate Mendocino property. For the price, the room was not well appointed, the soaking tub was just a regular bathtub, the sliding glass door stuck, and the screen door did not close without effort. The staff on the other hand was excellent.
The property was beautifully kept and the views of the Pacific were spectacular! The room was beautiful with a fireplace and a balcony to enjoy the views. Reception person was a sweetheart.
This is a hidden gem as spectacular location with a great view. The restaurant attached is fantastic and I can only wait till the next time I go with my wife.
We drove the west coast for the week and this was our favorite stop. The room and its view was spectacular. Having a wood burning fireplace on a chilly night made it cozy. The bed was so comfortable. We just loved our stay and will always remember it!

A room with a view
The view was amazing and my room was clean, but the exterior of the buildings and the interior was very dingy and in serious need of paint and a facelift. Lots of cobwebs and one of the windows was missing a screen.
The food in the restaurant was good but very pricey.
Excellent staff with a make-it-work attitude toward customer support. We had a couple of minor facility issues and the staff excelled in "The Moments of Truth" (as per Jan Carlzon). Service to the client was their guiding principle. Excellent view and wonderful restaurant on property. We will return.
Hidden in northern California coastal site, this is the crown jewel of best place to visit. Simply said, I will definitely go back during next vacation for extended stay.
My wife and I celebrated a memorable wedding anniversary with you. One we will never forget. With breathtaking views, superb service, and a five-star restaurant, the SCP Mendocino Coast Lodge will not disappoint.
We loved everything about this property. It’s dog friendly, quiet, and the view is beautiful. Patty was so welcome and nice, it was a cherry on top. We’ll be back.
2 day stay on a road trip up the CA coast. Nice room great view of the Big River outlet. No TV but in room internet worked well. Nice restaurant for breakfast.

3rd visit to this property. Least fav room. Maybe SPG upgrades havent made it through all of the property? Excellent views, helpful staff, new restaurant was excellent. Food fresh tasty and original. Ill probably book direct next time to choose my room.
First room had no railing around deck. Second room had noTV, no internet, no phone service, the bed was appx. 46 inches high, the wife couldn't get in so had to sleep in achair, the fireplace didn't work and there was no heat.
Nice, bright room with good dark out shades. Fireplace which we did use in July!
Big tub and separate shower - good pressure. The view is wonderful. We watched the fog roll in and out and in again on our little porch. Very quiet. We enjoyed our stay immensely!
It is clear the property is recently under new ownership. The new branding is sharp and modern and beautiful. But the facility hasn't been brought up to that standard yet. The furnishings were well-worn. The rooms have not been renovated - there were patches on the wall, visible screws holding panels up in the bathroom, and a general sense of age.
That said - the location and views from the rooms cannot be beat.
When they finally renovate the rooms to match the new branding, this will be a premium place to stay. Until then, you are paying premium prices for the location and view.
