Mosquitoes galore.
The weather was great. The mooring had no access to get back and forth to shore . The 70s cloth sofa was less than desirable.

Be Careful
This house offers a beautiful location and view. Don’t be confused by the information in the listing, this property DOES NOT include air conditioning. There are comments in some reviews about the AC. Property manager was contacted and we were told that previous renters had also called about the AC; we requested pin# to turn on AC but were told “this unit does not come with AC” even though it is in the house.

Terrible! Beds and Cloth Furniture disgusting!
The beds have body dents from (guessing) more than 20 years of bodies sleeping in them. The fabric couches are so old and dirty! We didn’t even stay one night of our four night stay. Terrible!!!! Don’t let the beautiful views trick you!

Nice place
The house is nice, it has a well stocked kitchen and a great view of the bay. There is a barbeque grill even though Vacassa said there wasn't. The downstairs bedroom and bath are nice, the upstairs rooms are sparse and could use an update. The reading loft is a nice touch with some books available for you to keep if you wish. Water access is 42 steps down a cliff face. Okay if you're not carrying anything. Location is relatively private and quiet.

Beautiful and quiet
My wife and I stayed here in early November and the leaves were still colorful and the property was beautiful! We enjoyed sitting on the beach, watching the sunset, and listening to the waves lap up against the rocks.

The property and home are beautiful! The only negative was the coffee pot grounds had not been emptied and we had no filters. We made do and enjoyed ourselves. The bed was very comfortable!

Good but not great
We enjoyed the location, on-site outdoor grill, and the central air system! There are a few areas for improvement though. The mattresses have seen better days and are not very comfortable; the furniture is outdated and musty. The entertainment center is lacking and there is no way to log into netflix/Hulu; the porch is lovely but would be even nicer with more comfortable furniture. Overall, it worked for us because of the location but underwhelming for the price.

A lovely cottage right on the lake
this is a nice house with a beautiful view across the lake toward Mt. Mansfield. The house is well-equipped, and as advertised. The property managers provided lots of information, and the communication, though entirely electronic, was prompt and complete. We would be happy to stay here again in the future.

Great but not perfect.
Beautiful place and the unseasonably warm weather made our visit especially good. Mattress in the master bedroom is a fail - slants down to the middle - and husband ended up sleeping in the laundry room. The pad on the mattress just makes it lumpy. Adult daughter slept on the couch because the mattress in her room upstairs was very uncomfortable. FYI there is no salt in the kitchen either in the shaker or anywhere else. We brought our own sheets to cover the couches because the plaid and floral combination was a bit too much especially for a member of our group sensitive to such things - a little on the spectrum. We appreciated that cleaning supplies were provided. The shower is very nice but would be so much better with a better showerhead and hose to make cleaning the tub easier. For an older person like me the shower seems slippery and there was no grab bar. It seems to drain slowly so the soap sits on the tub and makes it slippery. Accident waiting to happen.

Perfect getaway
Overall, at first glance the looks building deceiving but once we got in, wow! It’s actually a “don’t judge a book by its cover” - the interior is excellent, the lake and sky view offered an unmatched bonus! Very clean! All members of our team were thrilled and no questions asked. By the way, our stay included a hike to Mt Mansfield, reconnect with a relative at UVM, frequented Church st. at Burlington, walk beside Lake Champlain and many more.. all within an okay distance. Everyone says “ we wanna be back here! It’s a perfect getaway!” Thank you very very much!

Enjoyable escape from pandemic
The property was clean but had an unpleasant odor. The Check-in process was easy with a code and key box beside the door. On the listing, there was a grill that took a good deal of effort to locate. The property manager took a long time to respond. The location is pristine and relaxing with great views. Overall a great experience, but could have been better.

Relaxing spot for family reunion
The house and location was perfect for getting together with our two visiting adult children and partners. The house and kitchen are very well stocked which make it feel like a real home. We had a great time hanging out on the deck and living room which have stunning views of the lake and mountains. And of course we swam from the private beach, and wind surfed. We also biked and enjoyed various other swimming spots on the island. The bike ferry is a wonderful experience and really near by. Biked to Burlington one day for lunch and back. The owners have clearly perfected the place into an ideal vacation setting over the years.

Perfect lakefront getaway, with private walkway to the lake. Great views. Quiet a d peaceful.
It was 90 degrees on the day we arrived, and we were concerned that the descriptors said 'no air conditioning', so we brought fans from home. When we arrived, there are air conditioned rooms on the first floor, and once we vot the plentiful windows open, the house quickly filled with cool air off the lake. The access directly to the lake is down two flights of stairs... there's plenty of seating on the deck, but also two chairs on a landing down by the lake. The water was perfect, and the rocky lakebed gently slopes down, perfect for wading or swimming. The house had everything we needed, including some cooking items (oil, etc) already stocked. It was a perfct 5 days of much needed r&r, though we did venture out to Stowe one day. We visited the Shelburne Museum and Downtown Burlington on the way here (both highly recommended). Visited the local apple farm, etc., but had a great time just relaxing on tge deck and in the water. Perfect!
