When we checked in and the desk person saw the room we were given, his face fell. I asked if something was wrong with the room, but he tole me all was OK. All was NOT OK. We were given a room on the "ground" floor where the pool is. The hallway was so hot and humid I assumed we were in the pool area, but the pool doors were closed. Our room was a little warm and humid when we walked in, but I turned up the AC and assumed it was because nobody had been in there. The air coming out of the AC was cool, but it seems the fan wasnt working because you could only feel the cool air about 5 inches from the AC. It was evening, so i put my kids to bed and about an hour later the room seemed even hotter. I turned the AC a little higher and went to sleep. I woke several times because the room was so hot. I didnt want to wake my kids and move rooms, because I knew they would never go back to sleep, and the desk person said the hotel was pretty full.
In the morning, I showered and struggled to keep the water in the shower because the curtain rod was hanging by 1 screw and the curtain would pool in the center. We checked out the pool, the pool area was dirty and the hot tub has been closed for awhile.
Breakfast was OK, but there was no coffee. The desk guy said to make it in the room and bring it down. The only working ice machine was on the 2nd floor.
When checking out, I asked the guy why he gave us that room. His response was "I cant give you a refund, you booked through a service"
