Beautiful old baronial Scottish hotel. Staff very friendly, accommodation very nice. Highly recommend

Very cold time of year. Snow and sleet showers. However, room and bathroom warm, cosy after being outside. Comfy bed. All very clean. Staff at reception, breakfast and bar area all very welcoming and helpful. Would go back again.

Quite often stay here and find it very good. Very well situated for the city centre. Staff are a real asset very helpful and friendly. Over all a excellent property.

Staffers attendant professional and communicative

Lovely hotel , room beautifully decorated. The only downside I would say is all double rooms can be noisy in the morning due to traffic noise . So if you don’t want this you need to book a suite as they are the only rooms not facing the road outside.

I just loved this place. It’s right on the harbor so the views are amazing. The rooms are on the smaller side but they are extremely clean (we saw one of the housekeepers on her hands and knees scrubbing the shower) and comfortable. Amenities are a little dated but it didn’t affect our stay. Definitely make reservations for the restaurant. I had cullen skink there for the first time and it was so good. I dream about it!
