Beautiful place, friendly staff. Limited menu. We stayed at the Historic Inn. It was quaint and cozy but our room was not. The inn is old but our bed was too. It gravitated to the middle and the boxspring sounded and felt broken. The bathroom has a step up and the floors we slanted. I would still book again but stay at another one of the houses.

The Inn is a beautiful place just off a main road. It's picturesque, with comfortable rooms, spacious outdoor areas, easy parking and delicious pastries at their bakery.

Incredibly warm and gracious staff with a great service attitude. Several dinning options, great food! Grounds are gorgeous, very New England! Bakery shop is a joy!

Great overnight stay
First time in Sturbridge. Very convenient for our needs (1 night traveling with our pet). Bakery was amazing and pastries were delicious! Concert on the Common was happening and offered a relaxing outdoor evening. Would recommend and stay again - but leave the dog at home and book a stay in one of the inn rooms.

Staff were very pleasant and helpful. They were friendly and seemed genuinely interested in making sure needs were met. Even the grounds keeper was enjoyable to talk to. In commenting on how lovely the flowers and plants were they were quick to point out that Mother Nature was to thank. I will certainly not hesitate to stay again when the opportunity arises.

Although I’ve been to Sturbridge many times, this was my first experience staying at the Public House. Its historic bones are apparent with vintage area rugs over soft old wooden floors and a warren of hallways leading to banquet rooms and restaurants. The place is charming and I hope to return. A great place to go to decompress from busy city life.

We loved our stay and the food in the dining room was fantastic. The colonial feel of the inn was excellent. We were in Room 35 for two night and it as peaceful and quiet but cleanliness lacked in the bathroom and the radiator was old and very dusty. The bathtub had mineral deposits at the drain and looked dirty. A lady’s hair comb was at the edge of the bed near the mattress. It seems a vacuum cleaner might have found it

This is a hidden gem!!! It’s beautiful! I wish we had more time to enjoy the property! The bake shop was amazing! The complimentary treats were so delicious! The staff were v wonderful! We enjoyed it so much we have booked it again for our journey back home! Highly recommend it!
