When we checked in, there were people milling about the front doors, lobbys, and around the interior. The place reeked of cigarettes, food, and I didnt feel safe here. We had 60 seconds in the room that smelled terrible, and we instantly said no way. We researched the hotel and found it is being used by refugees.

Excellent support from staff when I needed it
Room is dates but very very clean. If you need a cheap place to stay by the airport, this is it. Staff helped me a lot (I was on crutches).

Everything went very well. Checkin was smooth and friendly. Unfortunately people talking outside of the window during the night kept us awake. Perhaps... signage for Quiet Zones should be posted...

it is an ok place if you just need a room for a few hours or a day before taking a flight. Close to the airport. Rooms are very average. And has very limited amenities. Staff was very friendly and efficient.

The Travel Lodge North Swords is in an excellent location for airport arrivals and departures. It has 24 hour front desk staff and security and the rooms and hallways are really very clean. The rooms are of an average size, the bathroom newly refurbished but the room itself needed updating. The carpet didn't reach to the side wall and the carpet tacks were visible and easily stood on. There was no hairdryer, limited tea and coffee etc, but was acceptable for a night or two stay. Most of all what I didn't like was the area. The grounds were unkept and had rubbish dumped in places, the building is old on the outside and my room faced the car park that was noisy with undesirables hanging around. The public transport was there but was difficult to access, but the town of Swords was about a 10 minute walk away. Bottom line is that the Travel Lodge is very reasonably priced and you get what they claim on the ads, but what you get is just basic accommodation.
