Liked the large size of the room and the quality of the bed. Our coffee machine wasn't working properly, due to the incorrect usage of it by the previous guest (which was obviously not checked by housekeeping). We were surprised that all of the rooms were "outside" and not part of an in-building, and somewhat alarmed with the signage that made us feel our car might be stolen! It was quiet toward the back of the property so we appreciated that. All in all, we probably wouldn't stay here again.

Shouldn't be called a Hilton
The first room we checked into was filled with bugs. Bugs in the bathroom, bugs around the bed, bugs on the ceiling. We got moved into another room and there was a hole in the wall with a fly hive. The door of the third room we were moved to would not open. We were offered breakfast as compensation for all the inconvenience and when we moved to the fourth room, the staff kept our breakfast compensation. When we got to the fourth room, the bathroom light was not working. Maintenance resolved the issue. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone as it would give the wrong impression of Taos. I am sad that the night had to go like this and feel like I should be reimbursed for this terrible experience.

Ok stay
We drove from Trinidad for a 2 night stay. Beautiful drive. The location of the room was our main concern. There was a lot of traffic coming through, both cars and guests and workers constantly. It's like they booked most everyone in that building. Room was nice and clean and roomy. Ice machines not working, no big deal. Happy Hour was still expensive! Probably would stay again but would ask for different building. Staff was nice.

Thoughts on this Hilton property
Everybody was very kind. The check-in person was professional. I was just startled that it was a Hilton hotel because it was sparse and okay quality. The bed had a dip in the center. And the outside part was unimpressive. The bar and dining room look nice but I was expecting a little more from the room.

Woke up to a mouse in luggage and excrement in room. Moved to another room at midnight and more excrement. Moved again and more excrement. Up most of the night. Lied to by night person twice, They have a serious rodent problem. Replacement desk clerk did what the night clerk said only a manager could do and comped our room. The least they do after that nightmare! Won’t stay at a Hilton again. Never thought I would ever say that.

The front desk was accommodating, and the room is comfortable. I am just sorry that none of the king bed rooms have bathtubs ,only a very nice shower installation. The southwest decor is outstanding

We had a mouse in our room eating a bag of unopened chips. Every night, someone smoking outside weed filling our room withe the smell of smoke.

We’ve stayed here many times, and usually love it. This time the suite seemed overpriced for what was offered. I want two chairs with the table. The maid stripped our room before we took our things out. I have never had that happen before.
