The Oasis Beach Resort was perfect for our small family. The room and amenities were clean and tidy. Our small balcony opened out to the heated pool which was perfect for a morning swim and with a short walk down the oath from our front door, we had access to the lake. We will definately stay here again whenever we come back to Taupo.

Parking was not outside unit and because we had arrived on 5pm, the main entrance was closing which meant we had to walk around the buildings to get to our unit - much further than going through reception. Our room was very hot and musty on arrival. They could have avoided this by airing the room or turning on the aircon before we arrived. The unit was clean but tired. Leaving on Sunday 9am wasn't pleasant as again reception was closed meaning we had to traipse all our gear the long way around, which was uncovered and it was raining. If the reception had been open, then getting to our cars would have allowed a quicker and drier route.

So close to the lake and walkable to town etc. The facility is old and a bit musty, wooden floors are creaky and doors need lubricant! Bit for the price it was great really. Hot pool was great

Nice view from room
The check in was worse have had. Asked for credit card don't have one was never told needed it. Plus when tried check in was to early told wait they come tell us never did. Staff never told where about room was at all no idea where go. Wifi was crap slow dropped ND some devices unable even connect. When turned bathroom light on fan went on woke up kid
