Unfortunately, there were multiple issues. My first evening in my hotel room, two men knocked on my door at around 10 - 10:30pm. Neither of them were wearing a hotel uniform so I was scared as to why two men whom I did not know were knocking on my door so late. One of the men said that he was the housekeeping manager and asked if there was something left behind by a previous guest by the coffee machine, to which I said "NO". I did not open the door. They left and I immediately called reception, after describing the two men, the person at the reception confirmed at the man was the housekeeping manager. I suggested that in the future, if there is a need to contact a guest at 10:30pm, it would be better for hotel staff - especially staff that do not wear a hotel uniform - to NOT randomly knock on their door, but to call in advance to be able to forewarn the guest. The person at reception apologized and offered a complimentary breakfast. Upon reflection, I called back and spoke with a different person. I explained to this person what happened and said that upon reflection I would accept the complimentary breakfast. The person kindly apologized and said the breakfast coupon would be ready for me the next morning. I went to reception the next morning and the person at the reception said there was NOTHING in the system for n the system for me in regards to a complementary breakfast. Why offer a complimentary breakfast if this offer won't be honoured?
