The bathroom was not clean. There is significant mold in the shower and along the walls of the bathroom area.
They are understaffed at predictably busy times making the wait to check in very long.
Rooms are a bit dated for the surrounding hotels but the friendly staff, included breakfast, and free drinks at happy hour more than make up for it.

Embassy is located in a great area, close to restaurants and shopping. Walkable to The University of Alabama. But…. For the price…. My room was clean, but wall paper was coming off the wall, the tub needed caulking. Just not worth the $400 a night I paid. But then again I get it, it is move-in week at Alabama. This hotel is closed with $1000 a night during football season. The happy hour was wonderful and the breakfast in the morning is wonderful as well! Great omelettes.

We went to check in at 10:30pm after a day of travel and our room was not ready. We waited over an hour for housekeeping to clean a room for us. The front desk never kept us updated, I always had to go and ask for updates. We were not the only people waiting for a room either. The entire weekend we were there we never had our room refreshed or towels exchanged. Not sure if we’d stay there again.
I've stayed at this property in the past, and enjoyed everything about it. This time I need to coach you regarding breakfast: one morning the grits were cold, the next morning the pancakes were cold. Now!, I take an analysis of what was happening those mornings. The staff was doing the best that they could based on the staffing on hand. They were pulled in so many directions to keep up with the various demands. Even at this, it was a good stay.
