Beautiful & clean hotel! Rooms are in the process of being updated bed and pillows are very comfortable and the rooms are very nice! Breakfast was great! Staff was friendly and helpful! We will stay here every time we visit SIU Carbondale.

Overnight stay.
I found hair in the bathtub that was not mine, it was a completely different color and long. I have short gray hair. The bed was extremely hard, I woke up with back pain and I haven’t had any back pain in years. The room overall was clean appearing and updated in amenities.

The pool and exercise room was closed no mention of that on their website. My kiddo was not real happy which caused problems. The hotel room wasnt the cleanest the bed was but the floor was not. The area by the refridgerator was disgusting. There was old silverware, used coffee cup lids. About 1 inch of dust and hair. I had to get my sons ball under the bed and it looked like they havent cleaned under it since the place has opened. The bottom of the bathroom door has splintered/swollen wood on it. Definately not too happy after spending 418.00 for two nights and it was my time with my son. If you wanna see for yourself its room 101. King suite..Would be very hard to stay there again unless something changes or happens. Thank you

Worst stay ever
We booked this after traveling and needing a place to stay when we got to our room the coffee maker didn’t work. I called out to the front desk. They said there’s nothing they could do after that. We realize the refrigerator also didn’t work. We called down and told them They said that they could change our room, but it was really late and that would be inconvenience to them then my husband went to take a shower and we had no hot water so finally we called again and they just asked if it was really that big of an inconvenience and my husband got upset and just hung up in the morning when we went to check out and tried to discuss the issues that we had the night before, but then they wouldn’t talk to us and said because we booked through you through a third-party they couldn’t do anything for us and they apologize. Our stay was so bad And that the help was so bad. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

We have stayed at this property many times over the last nearly 3 decades. We realize that this property is undergoing a renovation which is timely. We did not see any evidence of the ongoing renovation while we were there so not sure if it has started. We did not stay in a renovated room if there were any available. Upon check in, Morgan greeted us in a very professional manner and checked us in to Room 239. We went to Room 239 opened the door and immediately the smell of cigarette smoke was evident...very evident. We spoke with Morgan and she apologized and placed us in Room 237 right next door to Room 239. This room had no cigarette odor at all. We did have another situation on Sunday, Sept 1 at 3 PM when we returned to our room after having been gone since 10:10 AM. We walked in and the room had not been cleaned while we were gone. I contacted the front desk and clerk said she would have Housekeeping come ASAP and clean the room. Housekeeping Supervisor (name?) came and told me that they had not cleaned the room because the DND hanger was on the door while we were gone. This was not true as I had been the last to leave and the one to unlock the door. There was no hanger on the outside of the door when I unlocked the door. The DND hanger was on the inside of the door. Supervisor repeated her story and ignored what I said. I repeated that there had been no DND on the outside of the door that day. We received towels but room was not cleaned.

Staff was friendly. Stayed on the top floor. Room was clean and spacious. Bed was comfortable and had firm and soft pillow options. Breakfast was good and coffee was great! Location was easy to get to, close to amenities like a gas station, restaurants and shopping within driving distance.
