Having the bedroom was a nice bonus but the blinds are definitely not black out and having a frosted door on the bedroom wasn’t ideal when trying to nap a toddler. I’m not a picky traveler but I was Very unhappy with check out,finding out I had to pay an extra $20 for parking when I had already spending $300 for one night was a little ridiculous. When booking it said parking was available there was nothing stating it was an additional $20 which was a big bummer we had a great stay but probably won’t be back I think parking should be included especially when your guests are spending a lot of money to be staying at your hotel

Beautiful hotel so close to the village with all the shops and restaurants. The pool facilities looked excellent, however I wasn’t able to enjoy it as it wasn’t open early enough for me.

Hot tub was actually hot unlike other hotels lately, pool was a nice temperature. Both very clean, towels were stocked, it was nice. Parking was tight in the evening.... One thing I would say about that which also applies to other hotels, of you have to pay for parking, you should be guaranteed a spot. My husband went out in the evening and upon his return found somewhat of a parking spot after driving around all three levels. Also though I booked a harbour view but my reciept only said One bedroom king....all rooms are described as city harbour view, city view or harbour view - there was no view description on my receipt so I could not prove anything. Overall the symtay was nice, the hotel was clean and the staff were friendly.

Mimi at front desk was fast & friendly. Love that this place is walkable to everything. The hotel location is a safe zone & clean. They offer a shuttle within a short radius. We would return if in the area again.

Nice rooms, not so great customer service
We stayed 2 nights, locat is fantastic for sights around downtown Victoria, only had a portable AC unit in one room, so do not go when it's really hot. They have valet park, but didn't tell us until we had already scoured for a parking spot, we even asked if they had other handicapped parking, and didn't tell us about the valet parking until after. That customer service could have used a lot of help.

Pros -Location is very convenient for nearby restaurants/shopping, walking to Fisherman’s Wharf and James Bay. -Very clean, and I’d say I have higher than normal expectations when it comes to this. -While Douglas Street felt unsafe as a woman traveling alone, inside the hotel I felt very safe. Cons -Parking! $20 per day, only three very small lots, spaces are so tight I had a hard time getting my compact rental car out. I arrived back after a day out at check in time and all lots were full; I was forced to use valet parking. I had to wait in a line to get the ticket and was told I would not be able to get my car the following day until after 6 am. -There is no central AC in the building. There was a very large and noisy fixed AC until in the living room but the bedroom was too hot at night. -The toilet in my room never stopped filling its tank every few minutes. Very noisy. -The gutless hair dryer took 3 mins just to do my bangs, bring your own if you will be drying your hair. -Upon check out the staff told me he would email my receipt, it was never sent to me. -Price wasn’t much different from newer hotels in the same area.
