I had a wonderful stay at Thon Hotel Ålesund. It’s the most comfortable hotel in my trip ( I tried 4 hotels) that I would highly recommend to stay for your travel. The hotel surrounding is quiet, safe and with plenty nice restaurants and bar options, super convenient. It also close to a light house which great for sunset or after dinner walk. The hotel breakfast offers wide range of food options, all are fresh and delicious. The room facilities are well maintained and clean, very nice design with many mirror at the room. The bed is very comfortable. I would love to stay here again if I visit Ålesund.

A beautiful property with great views of water and light house. The staff are wonderful, the most spacious room we had in Norway. Close to everything, great breakfast and dining options nearby Parking was not free but after 4 PM until 8 AM, you can park in the street infront for free.

Fantastic Stay. Beautiful views of Alesund.
Hotel Alesund is fantastic. The location is perfect and the views are breathtaking. They also serve a wonderful breakfast. My only critique would be that upon arriving, the front desk could have been friendlier. The lady behind the desk gave me a blank stare when I arrived, and when I mentioned that I wanted to check in, she sort of coldly told me to come back at 3 PM. A simple "welcome to our hotel" would have gone a long way. Nevertheless, I would highly recommend this hotel, and would be delighted to staty again.

Great walkable location with pleasant lounge.
Great location and view. Everything was fine except for the most awful (and expensive) fish and chip dinner one night. Reception staff were lovely but it is not really a top tier hotel in any way. It is a good standard hotel, though.
