Great house
This was our second stay at this house. We love having 3 bedrooms with in suite bathrooms. The washer was broken and had been out of order for a month … would have been nice to have known that as we really needed it. Also front door is very hard to open having a 10 digit code it kept blocking us out before we could get it all entered. Maybe battery needs to be replaced. Otherwise house is roomy and well equipped comfortable very clean and enjoyable. I would rent it again.

Such a lovely house in a cute neighborhood. Not having a functioning washer was a bit inconvenient but overall a nice place. Second time staying here and will definitely consider staying here again.

2nd amazing visit
We stayed here about 4 years ago, experience this time was the same, very nice, everything well maintained and very clean. Super convenient to Volcano National park! We will be back.. of note there are no condiments etc - we cooked a lot and missed that!

Great stay near VNP
Had a great stay at Pele Noe. Property is spacious and clean. Spaces are nice for lounging and enjoying the cool weather. Great location outside of Volcano National Park, which allows easy viewing of the lava! Kitchen is well stocked (but bring salt!) and we enjoyed several meals in the home. Note that Volcano Village doesn't have a lot of options for restaurants or groceries in the evening. Just plan ahead!

Nice property
This is a very nice property. Everything was clean and ready. I contacted customer service. They were helpful, and followed through to make sure I was happy. The neighbor is a family neighborhood so the neighbors kids frequently played in the street. The pheasants were fun to watch from the porch in the morning, as were the neighbors chickens.

Lovely stay in perfect location
We enjoyed our stay at Pele Noe very much. Close to Volcano Village and the National Park, but surrounded by tropical rainforest. Comfortable rooms. Full and well equipped kitchen made for easy meals here to supplement the restaurants and markets in town. The nearby Volcano farmers market on Thursday evenings (smaller) and Sunday mornings was a great place to get local food and produce.

Look no further!
Pele Noe is a beautiful home in a great location of Volcano. Pictures accurately portray this property, which is clean, bright, and cozy. Look at the layout of the house if you are traveling with younger children, but my preteens would have loved the rooms detached from the main house. I traveled here with two of my coworkers and it was so nice for each of us to have our own bedroom and bathroom. The window seat and books made for a relaxing space where we could get some work done. We absolutely loved the decor, displaying Hawaiian culture and native birds. I hope to come back here soon!

Great house, it took a few day’s due to the get heat, the fire did not work. After calling for a few days the manager was irritated with me. However, maintenance department bought new space heaters and it does keep the house warm.

Perfect 'Ohana house
We wanted a quick island hop to see the volcano, and we were so happy to find a great space for our family at a great price. The two separate bedrooms with en suites was a great setup for extended family. It wasn't ideal for our family traveling with mom, three kids 6 and younger and grandma, but the kids enjoyed "camping out" in the main spaces of the house. I missed the part of the description that had the two bedrooms across a breezeway. Overall, the house was great and location beautiful with tons of flora to take in on a walk. We were also able to easily get to the volcano without having to navigate crowds. We arrived too late at Hilo Intel to get groceries, which is really required for most Hilo stays, but there are a few local options for food if you are a savvy Google pro.

Quiet stay with the hapu'u tree ferns
Lovely place, well outfitted, with a nice configuration of our group (a couple, and two singles). I really liked the decor and artwork -- very fitting for the location and not just cookie cutter "tropical" decor. All of us would recommend this place.

Great home for volcano excursion
This home is a great place to stay for a visit to the volcano. Easy drive to Hilo also. The two bedrooms adjoining the house were perfect for our grown boys. One accidentally locked the keys in his room and Vacasa took care of us in a short time. Only wish there were more towels provided for us to use at the beach. I would recommend this house to anyone.

Pretty property, poor communication with property management
The property was beautiful and peaceful as described. Some concerns with communication with the property management that I've not encountered before when using Homeaway. We followed the directions as outlined in the email a few weeks before we arrived. I printed the instructions as directed in the email since cell service is sketchy at best in this location. The code provided in the email didn't work to open the front door. I emailed the property management several times, and called and left 3 messages. We didn't receive a call or return email that day, which meant we were locked out. After waiting with no reply, I decided to search my email. I found a new email sent on 9/11/18 with a new code. We started our vacation on 9/9 at a different island. Since we had already received all the instructions it didn't occur to me that they would send an update (especially since we were already on vacation). We didn't receive a call telling us they had sent a different code, serious lack of communication. The house has a gas burning fireplace, which was a surprise. The description doesn't state this. After 1 night this no longer worked. Again, we emailed property management and after a couple days when we returned there was a note on the table stating the remote to the gas fireplace had bad batteries and is now working. This didn't make any sense since the remote was already working, but after a short time the fire would die out. It was either a connection issue from fireplace to propane tank or the propane tank was empty and would only burn residual gas. Again, the fireplace wouldn't stay on. Last issue, there are two master rooms off the main house with strong smells (possible bug spray?). We managed this, but if you lock the back door to the main house there's no way to get in if your sleeping in one of the disconnected rooms. There wasn't a key provided for this back door; you would have to walk around the main house and through the front door. I asked about this in one of my emails, but never received a response. It's disappointing to say the least. Now for the odd event; the microwave over the stove has a sign saying "broken." Not why this wasn't disconnected since it continually beeps and turns the light on and off over the stove. We decided it was haunted and left it at that. Didn't help that it was a loud beeping and could wake you up in the middle of the night. Again, the property is beautiful and the scenery is natural and true to Volcano.

Lovely home in a beautiful area. Very centralized for getting around the whole island and for shoppi
On the whole it was a wonderful place to stay, beautiful home and lovely surroundings. However, I don't suppose it is easy to please everyone. I understand about the insects and for some people it could be very bothersome. But personally, I found the smell of pesticide very overwhelming. It didn't bother my son, so there ya go!

Great house in friendly Volcano close to National Park
Aloha. Our stay was great at Pele Noe house in Volcano. We enjoyed many hikes in Volcano National Park, the farmer's market in Volcano (the town), touring southwestern beaches, and renting bikes for an evening full moon ride to the lava flow. The house itself was very comfortable and beautiful. Tropical pheasants and wild chickens walked through the property every morning. The patio between the main house was a great covered area to enjoy yoga or meals while listening to the many birds in the surrounding rainforest. The stove in living room kept us toasty on a cool rainy night. The house's water is heated with solar power, so you need to read through instructions if it's been cloudy for a few days and hot water is waning. Also, water in this entire area is collected via rain, so respect for resources is super important here. The only thing we wanted that wasn't available was a BBQ grill, but all the other kitchen amenities made up for it. We had a great stay at Pele Noe house in Volcano. Thank you for making this beautiful place available. Mahalo.
