Bad Review – Red Roof Inn, Saint George, SC Our stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing. When we arrived, there was no one at the front desk, and it took nearly 10 minutes before a staff member finally appeared to check us in. My first impression of the room was terrible: there was visible dust around the bed, the sheets were not clean or neatly arranged, the refrigerator was filthy, and the drawers were full of dirt when I tried to place my belongings inside. The bathroom was also dirty and dusty, which made the entire room feel unhygienic. Sleeping was nearly impossible due to the loud noise from the heater, combined with the constant sound of the ice machine outside. It was one of the worst nights I’ve ever had in a hotel. To make matters worse, the breakfast offered in the morning was completely unacceptable—poor quality and not worth eating. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone. The management clearly needs to be replaced, as the standards here are far below what guests should expected😩

I showed him the conformation number from hotel.com and he said what is that. His english was very broken and hard to understand. He was very nice though

I had quite an unexpected and disappointing experience during my stay. While driving in, I received a call from the manager informing me that the room I originally booked had a broken pipe. Upon arrival, I asked whether there would be any accommodation or consideration for the inconvenience, and I was told no multiple times. I was then placed in a different room than what I reserved, with the understanding that I would be switched to the correct room the next morning. When I checked into the temporary room that night, the bathroom was noticeably unclean. After an 8-hour drive, I decided to settle in for the night. The next day, I had to call to remind the staff about the room change. Once I was moved to the new room, I discovered roaches in the bathroom. I understand this is not a five-star hotel, but roaches are absolutely unacceptable. I even have photo evidence of this. Additionally, throughout the day on Saturday, staff repeatedly knocked on my door claiming it was time to check out—even though my reservation clearly stated check-out was on Sunday. This made the stay feel rushed and disorganized on top of the other issues.

Overall property is nice enough and looks to have been recently updated. Only complaint is lack of cleanliness. Floors were grubby, sheets smelled like they weren't washed properly, many dead bugs in the bathroom light/vent.

Front office staff were very nice. Room was very quiet and beds comfortable. Disappointed by stained ceiling tiles in bathroom, dirty floor in bath and toilet did not flush properly. Hope these issues get addressed.
