Pack up your skis and head to this adorable, chalet-style home in the woods. Updated with modern amenities throughout and boasting floor-to-ceiling windows and a furnished deck with a private gas grill, this charming getaway is ideal for your next family ski-cation. Built by Peter Estin, the first head of the ski school at Sugarbush, this home was once frequented by the 'jet set' from New York City that used to vacation in this area back in the late 50s and early 60s.

If you're visiting in the winter, this rental is located less than a mile from Sugarbush (Lincoln Peak) for prime downhill skiing and snowboarding, and only five miles from the Blueberry Lake Cross Country & Snowshoeing Center. In warm weather, you'll find extensive networks of hiking and biking trails, as well as swimming at Warren Falls, just four miles away, and Blueberry Lake for fishing and wildlife viewing, only six miles from your front door. This rental is also conveniently close to the Sugarbush Golf Course and the Sugarbush Health & Recreation Center with pools, hot tubs, sports courts, and more, all for a nominal fee.

Nice location, cute chalet
The house itself was a nice, quiet space and the rooms were all comfortable. The kitchen had some staples in the cabinets which was helpful. The kids loved the family room as a hang out area. We also liked that all the bedrooms had stand or box fans -not only for the warm weather we had, but also as white noise at night. The cleaning wasn't the greatest. There were some towels/ linens that were not clean as well as kitchen items that still had food on them. I agree with a previous review that the parking area is a bit difficult to see after dark. I think there are a few other kinks that need to be worked out (potholders for the kitchen, something that gives house info/ instructions or location for the property amenities, sauna key in an obvious location, addition trash/ recycling/ composting and better communication from the management team). I would be willing to rent the Chili Dip Chalet in the future and see if the kinks get fixed so the stay can be as good as it has the potential to be.

Beautiful stay!
Secluded, great picture windows, loved the roomy upstairs bedroom. We loved the location, close to Warren falls and live music at sugarbush resort. Loved walking and running on the hilly vermont roads.

Probably our last visit...
The Chili Dip Chalet has become one of our favorite places to stay, especially since we have been able to bring our dog. We had planned to continue renting as long as possible. Sadly, we were surprised to learn our pup is no longer welcome, though she has always been well behaved and clean (and cleaned up after). The house is perfectly situated for our needs, has plenty of room, is extremely comfortable, and was meticulously cleaned prior to our arrival. The kitchen is well stocked with cookware, and just enough dishes and flatware to not be crowded. Bedrooms seemed slightly damp (1st floor) but benefitted from airing out; and all linens/towels were spotlessly perfect (linen service, perhaps?). We would definitely rent again, especially if the owners would consider accepting dogs on a case=by=case basis (possibly based on conscientious past renters like us)

What a great spot!
We had a fabulous stay! The home was super cute, comfortable, great location and overall just wonderful. The only thing I would comment on is the cleaning of the floors could have been a bit better. There was dog hair and dirt in some spots but it didn't change our view of how great our vacation was!

Cute Chalet, crappy management
Place was great, clean, comfortable and amazing location!!!! Asked 2 questions to the management team, did not answer in a timely fashion. Could not find the sauna and there were no brooms or shovels to remove snow to check out-Austin replied 2 days late on the sauna and Kate promised a shovel by 8:30am-said the owners lost the key to the owners closet where they are kept, someone arrived at 9:55am with a shovel, had to be out by 10

Great Chalet
The house is a great property in an excellent location for skiers. There were only four of us, so we had plenty of room to spread out. We had comfortable shared areas and room for privacy. It had everything we needed for a nice vacation. Thanks for sharing your lovely home!

Great location but some suggested improvements
My family enjoyed staying here but all agreed that it would be helpful to have a house manual on site to help with some things i.e. how to operate the sauna and where the trash goes (and compost - we ended up taking all of this home with us). Also, we arrived after dark and it was a little hairy parking. The snow is plowed over the embankment so it was difficult to judge where the parking area ended. The stairs going down to the pathway to the front door weren't shoveled out too well so my husband took care of that, as well as the deck and pathway to the sauna. The listing notes a fireplace but the sign outside says not to use the wood that is stacked by the deck so people should know that they need to bring their own firewood. We had two 2 year olds with us and the stairs to the 2nd floor should really have a rail to help younger children go up and down. We put gates up to keep them from using them. Overall a great location - just wish we had been a little more prepared for some of the shortcomings that we encountered when we got there.

Sugarbush Retreat
Perfect location for everything we wanted to do (hiking, biking, relaxing). Restaurants were close, and Paradise Provisions was a short walk. The house itself was the perfect fit for us, so much so that we have rented again for next fall. The separate tv room was just the right size for us and we could keep watch on our dog while she hung out on the deck. Bathrooms were super clean and well-stocked. A few 'down' notes: pots and pans could use an update; the parking area is a bit of a challenge when pulling out onto the main road, and the dinette area lighting was less than adequate. Everything else was perfect!

Perfect spot in Pristine Vermont
This property is located at the heart of Sugarbush ski area, still a great place for a end of summer weekend getaway as well. Very well appointed giving the perfect ski chalet vibes (tempting for a winter time return). The layout with two bedrooms and a bath on each of the two floors was perfect to have the kids and the adults enjoy their own space. Allowance for pets is a super bonus and greatly appreciated.

Great Vaca!!
Loved the house, it’s location, the fire pit. It’s very homey and has everything you need. Coffee was a nice surprise. Might need a few new pans and some more silverware. Took 24 hours to get a response about locating a breaker box. But they were very helpful and after a search the box was located. It made cooking tough for 24 hours but we survived. Other questions were promptly answered. It was a great place. We would rent it again.

Beautiful property
Loved the Chili Dip Chalet. Cozy and comfortable located near the top of a hill so it almost feels like you are alone in the woods. Wished we had better communication with the property manager as we did not have access to garbage cans and would have appreciated instructions on what to do with our trash, other than drive it in to town! Very awkward.

Great easy ski house
Nice little place, not fancy, has everything you need. Only complaint is that there is no cable so the tv’s are useless. Luckily my 14 yr old was able to get the computer hooked up to it so we could watch the game. Otherwise great!
