The Warren Lodge would text me about our upcoming trip. It was self check in. Which was great. We were going to be arriving late. The Lodge texts were personable and to the point. Check in and out were easy. They sent things to do in the area. Places to eat. It was very well organized.
Great once inside. Outside had some potential... seemed like the pool was closed (in August). Grills near the unit instead of way out by the (closed) pool would have really been awesome.
But it was extremely awesome once inside with rustic cedar paneling and a cozy atmosphere.
Good clean room and comfy bed. Communal area with a dining table, microwave and tea/coffe. Firepits and chairs by the river and easy access to the river.
But - make sure you get the wifi password out of the guest guidebook before leaving civilisation. The book wouldn't download to our phone and the cell service is patchy so we initially had no internet and had missed the email communications from the manager.
This was the first time we had experienced a self check in place. The manager was quick to respond to texts (when we could send them). There are plenty of cameras around and the other guests were friendly.
the rooms are spacious, rustic, and well kept. The beds are updated but too low to the floor for this old lady with bad knees. We loved the babbling river flowing behind the room.
Our only concern with the property was the strong moldy smell in our room and the thick mold growth on the window frame. Not healthy for people with mold allergies.
