The property was fine. The room was clean and smelled nice. Soto had some maintenance issues, the toilet paper holder was loose, the bathtub door didn't close completely, and the hot water faucet was loose. But regardless of those maintenance issues, it was fine. I received a credit that I used on my breakfast, and while I didn't receive the option to get a free upgrade, I was given the option to check out late, though I didn't use it because I had to get back early. The hotel is in a great location, very quiet, and very clean.

I was not happy with the $100 deposit I had to make at check in! Especially when it said it would be $30 due at check in. Our room was awful and not clean. No trash bags in the cans, shower was dirty, towels smelled awful and there was no sheets, pillow or blanket for the sofa bed. My hair dryer did not stay plug into the outlet and when I tried the one provided by the hotel it did not work as well. There were drunk people up and down the hallways all night. It was our first and last time staying at the Hamilton.

This is the second time we have stayed at the Hamilton, and both have been excellent stays. The location can’t be beat. It’s a 15 minute ride from DCA, and walkable or a short Uber to many of the museums and monuments. There are many restaurant nearby, and the restaurant on site is delicious, especially for breakfast. The rooms are clean and well equipped, and the staff excellent. We will stay again.

Overall convenient location - a thing to note is to remind Front-of-house staff that you'd like your room to be cleaned if you leave the room after 11am. The bar has a good selection of beers on draft.

Did not sleep at all at this hotel. 1st night lady next door coughing all night. Last 2 nights the children next door crying and talking. Its a historic building but if your looking forward to sleeping not good. Pro close to all the washington attractions

Good place and great location
The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The room and facilities were nice. The only minor issue during my stay was the noise from the street level. There was some kind of demonstration and/or fight in the park across the street that went to the late evening and early hours of the next morning, which kept me awake for a while.

I was able to check in early and it was so easy. Went down to the restaurant for a nice dessert after a full day walking around. The metro is less than 5 minutes from here too. It’s really one block.
