The hotel worked perfectly for 3 adults and one 7 year old. We enjoyed the free breakfast and convenient location to the major sites of DC. We walked to the National Mall and train station. There’s a McDonald’s, Subway, Starbucks and pizza place all within a 5 minute walk. Our room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The valet parking is almost $60 a day but we were aware of that before checking in so we didn’t have sticker shock at our almost $200 valet bill for our 3 night stay. I would stay here again.

i had a terrible experience. Starting with our sheets with blood stains. I told the front desk and was ignored. The breakfast in the morning is a mess. They were always out of food and staff was mean and crabby. They also don't follow the restaurant hours and close whenever they want. All the staff i encounter was very unprofessional and rude (minus the housekeeping staff). Even though my room was never cleaned and we had to take out our own garbage, they were always pleasant and helped me get supplies for my room.

My reservation was for 5 nights, we arrived late, check in was fast and easy. The room was spacious and clean, however the toilet was not flushing right. The second day we went out to explore the city, I call the hotel to report the problem, we arrived around 4pm and it was not repaired, had to go to front desk and request the service again and wait until someone repair it. Housekeeping round was at the busiest time, when you are getting ready to go out for the night therefore we never received the service. Food at the hotel was average with a good price. Mattress and pillows are old, there was a moldy smell in the bedsheets but not terrible that you need to complain. Staff was not very friendly or helpful with orientation about the area, but by no means there were rude. For the time spent at the hotel it wasn’t bad, they can certain improve.

All pros but one con
The location, breakfast, parking, and service were great. My only complaint is that the bathroom door was a frosted glass sliding door that did not lock. We got a suite with our 2 son's and mother and privacy was definitely an issue. We all preferred to use the lobby bathroom and only shower in our room. Other than that it was a perfect stay.

Beds were very firm so if you prefer aa softer matress I wouldn't recommend. Building is not well insulated or sound proofed so lots of noises at night
