Love the hotel. Pretty, clean, and convenient to walk everywhere. It’s 20 mins to walk to Times Square and 10 mins less to Central Park. Staffs are professional and guest service is very helpful.

Very run down. Rusty mirror in bathroom. Furniture was chipped and falling apart. Sink did not drain properly. Grout in shower needed replacing. Carpeting was nasty. Unfortunate as the hotel has a very cool art deco vibe but needs upgrading.

The lobby was the best part of my stay. Highend looking. Now, the room floors, horrible. Lighting was dull and wall decor was hideous. The Room wasn’t bad, it made up for the bad lit and horrible wall decor but it wasn’t anything to brag about. Overall I give it “Ok” stay, which is above, “horrible”, “bad” and “average” however below “good”, “great” and excellent“

On our first day, while taking a shower a huge cockroach fell into the shower. I called the front desk, who said they would send someone up immediate, it took half an hour for a sweet cleaning lady to come and remove the cockroach. I asked for us to be moved to another room, to which we were treated to an indifferent attitude, no apology but told we just had to get used to that because its an old building and am in NY!!! The blinds could not be raised, the bathroom door couldnt close, was in terrible condition and everytime we took a shower we were concerned that another cockroach would appear. we were told to leave a face cloth over the drain to prevent any more bugs from entering. Very disappointing considering the high prices.

Great location for my needs during the New York Film Festival and the entire staff was very friendly and efficient. Really bad wifi made some work elements difficult and instead of working in quiet in my room I did find myself having to leave for a cafe or elsewhere.
