I am absolutely disappointed by the lack of cleanliness in this room. Our covers were stained, there were fake nails on the floor, black spots in the tub, and debris on the carpet in the hall. I will not be recommending this hotel, and I regret not choosing a different one. I will never be returning here. This hotel should not be listed as it is not very clean. Update: we were given a different room. Was promised it was clean. We move our stuff and surprise there feces on the toilet. I go to report it to front desk. Was given gloves and cleaner and towel to clean it up. We clean it up. Please don’t stay here. Thankfully I booked this thru 3 party. Was able to get a refund. The headache it cause and husband blood pressure going high is not worth it. Stay away.

This was my second time staying here and was very different than the first. We did have a pup, but did not realize that meant we would be in the moldy basement. The room had an unpleasant odor, our dog kept finding trash on the floor that wasn’t picked up, and the shower didn’t look like it had fully been wiped out. Would not come back if it meant staying like we did this time.

The motel had a great location within easy walking distance of the historic area. The rooms were large and well appointed. The motel was quiet, the staff friendly and helpful, the breakfast excellent, and price was good.

The hotel is built into a hill so the lobby is really on floor 2. Our room looked out onto the back of the property so we parked the car to be visible from our window. Entering at the back of the property you come in on floor 1. This door is unattended and despite lots of signage that this door can only be accessed with room key the door was left wide open permanently. At all hours. Not just unlocked, but visibly propped open. The door to our room was clearly forced open at some point in time, and the damage just painted over. The whole building smelled old.

Great location but clear Best Western is not concerned about the facility. Room had numerous examples of water damage as if it were affected by pipe leaks or other issues. Cleanliness was not a good factor either. The room should have been vacuumed prior to new guests checking in.

Our stay at best western was decent. Had some trouble getting checked in (first wrong room keys once we got into the first room the lighting was out in the room. The listing stated there was a hot tub and heated pool there was no hot tub and the pool area was aged with no hot tub.

Pretty bad
Carpet that formed base board was falling over. Bath tub was filthy. Skipped showering the first morning. The next morning I had to shower so I laid a towel on bathtub floor before climbing in. Caulking in corners was black and falling apart. Floor under sink was filthy. Room coffee maker was missing tray to put coffee pod in and free breakfast was at best Fair to Poor. Only good thing was hotel was walking distance to Colonial Williamsburg. I got what I paid for.

PROS: Staff was excellent! Location is close to everything. The room & lobby ate clean given what the staff has to work with. CONS: This property is in serious need of reimbursement. The bsck downstairs outer entry door was broken off and propped up against the outer wall. Safety was concerning because anyone could just walk into the hotel. There were entire areas in the hallways where the wallpaper had fallen (3rd floor) and was just pinned back up at the top. The ceiling in my room was wavy. There was a 3 inch gap at the bottom of the door so you heard every conversation in the halls. The outside window had a gap in it, so a steady stream of cold air came in. The black out curtain wasn't wide enough to cover the window, so a gap of light shown from one side. I might would stay again, but not for the price I paid. It is extremely overpriced for the condition of this property. NOT the staffs fault, this is from the owners not caring. They have such great staff, the owners should give them a hotel to be proud of.
