DIRTY & BUGS
We stayed on the lower level in a pet friendly room and it looked like it was never cleaned. There were roaches and bugs in the room. Carpet looked old and dirty. The locals say this place reminds them of BATES MOTEL. I will say the staff was friendly, especially the breakfast lady.

Very clean rooms. The breakfast area was well maintained. Overall good stay in a safe community very close to historic sites. Only drawback was noisy trains at odd hours of the night.

Haunted? Could be.
The property was quite nice. Nicely decorated for Halloween. The common areas were lovely. Our king bed room was spacious, the furnishings were nice. The bathroom was very small. The only complaints were that the bathtub didn't want to drain and the toilet moaned when flushed. But that could have been the alleged properly's ghost!

Thermostat did not work. Room was way too hot. We left by the end of our stay the room was 80 degrees. Seemed like the room was spot cleaned. Toothpaste in the mirror and floor. Hair everywhere in the shower

A great Fort inside a historic Town!
This place has a special history in Williamsburg, and is a favorite of mine for the value and the location...it cannot be beat! That said, it's condition is only average as it's definitely time for bathroom redo and replacement of case goods. But I love the Colonial vibe of the poster beds. Very nice staff too!

Best thing about this place is the lobby. Although it seemed to be a busy weekend in the area, but for the price of the hotel the rooms seemed to be pretty lacking. If you’re in a pinch and need a place it’s not bad but would not recommend.

Price good, hotel needs work in rooms.
Dated hotel and conference center. The beds sagged in the middle, the carpets were pretty battered and the decor is well used. The hotel was clean enough and the location was great to Williamsburg as well as Busch Gardens. THey have signs that say refurbishing rooms but think they need to work more quickly.

The exterior had a nice theme that works well with the town. The interior had a few historic things in it but was like, updated and comfortable. It worked especially well for what I needed, just as a day trip, spend the night, and go home kind of thing. I would absolutely stay here again!
