Great, friendly staff but very small rooms and hard to move around them. Bed was only a small double not queen and very uncomfortable with lumpy pillows. The hotel is in an area where don't really feel that safe walking around at night if on your own.
Staff were friendly & helpful for checking in and out.
Our room and floor in general (hallways leading to the room) had a very bad musty mould like smell to it and despite cracking the dirty old window open, the smell did not disapear. The smell was bad enough to make me feel quite nauseated & felt like i couldn't take a full breath of air.
I appreciate it's history & age as building and it's prime location for easy access to the city however, unless there was a big upgrade to the internal rooms/floors etc. I would not stay again.

Bed was hard but otherwise room was clean and tidy.
Broken vending machine caused issues.
No concerns with the hotel, great location.
Required a $50 deposit.
My original room had no window and a mouldy musty smell. When I contacted reception they immediately moved me to another room which was much better. Staff were very accommodating.
Old smelly dusty, moldy, hotel will never stay there again

The hotel is old, and the rooms have a mouldy smell. This hotel needs renovations to remove the old bedrooms that make the room small with that extension on the wall. Rooms need better lighting.
As a first time traveller to Adelaide and Sth Aus, this position was perfect and the staff were really helpful in suggesting some things to see and do.
