This property is so close to cafes, pubs, restaurants. The beach is on your doorstep and within walking distance of public transport Staff on front desk were very good with any issues you might have.

Accessible to the airport so very convenient for an early flight. It’s an older building which is most notable in the bathroom - though it being maintained well and presenting clean makes a big difference in this case. Disappointing part was the 24 hour concierge who would have easily recognised how exhausted I was and didn’t assist with my heavy bags - he simply pointed to the baggage trolley in corner and told me to help myself… surely this is something I could have easily been helped with.

Not our best stay. It was old and in need of maintenance. The rooms were not what was expected and th ladies on the front unhelpful. Wont use oaks again

Great location room service was terrible came into room after day out to find vlanket spread over bed without spreading quilt or making the bed , pillows were so bad left with sore necks. Plates and cups put in dishwasher and nothing else was cleaned. The bsthroom towels were like old carpet rough and hard. Very underared room service and hygienic cleans.

Staff were great, but little things made the hotel show it's age. Bottom of wet area doors was worn. No "Do Not Disturb" sign. TV Remote was faulty.

First night a Rock Band was playing in their bar area so had extremely loud music thumping through our room until nearly midnight. Defies belief how hosting a live rock band can be considered to be in any way compatible with a building full of people trying to sleep. We caught a drone hovering outside our balcony filming our unit through the balcony window. Drone took off as soon as they realised it had been spotted. Reported the incident to reception and the response was call us if it happens again so we can try and see if it is coming from inside or outside the hotel. I would have thought the appropriate response would be to report the incident to local authorities alerting them a Peeping Tom is likely active in the area. Clearly superior minds to me are at play here so I'm not commenting further. We later noticed there were notices on the Glenelg foreshore saying drones were prohibited in the area so we strongly suspect this was not an isolated incident. So apart from the out of control party next door like loud music experience and the remote Peeping Tom the room was fine
