Good and bad.
The good points: Staff was great, price is very competitive, location is in walking distance of Disneyland and near a Coffee Bean and CVS. I felt safe in the hotel. Beds were fine. Room was clean. The bad points: We could hear people running/stomping down the hall late at night. There was a bad sulfur smell on our floor. Every evening we had to open the slider door and spray the room with air freshener. I was willing to put up with the bad because there were enough positives to justify it. Hotels in the area are ridiculously high, so even with the smell, I would consider staying again and make sure I pack room spray.

For us, it met it's purpose. We only wanted a one nite stay since we spent most of our day at Disneyland. As management, I would invest money in towels -- so many of our bath towels had holes and were just old towels. Shame on management for allowing that but other than that, it was ok. Wouldn't stay there again but it was affordable than most others.

Location a big plus!
Distance and comfort from the parks was fantastic! The suite was perfect for our family of 5. Having CVS and Walgreens right there was a plus, too. For all those reasons, we would absolutely stay here again! Minor complaints would be a little bit of cleanliness, but since we were out and about so much vs staying in the room all day, it was fine.

One of the cheaper places to stay in Anaheim. There are resort fees but there's nothing really except for a small pool. We stayed in the family suite and it was very mediocre, OK if u need somewhere cheap to stay the night. Beds were not comfortable. Felt like we were in a motel. Location however is great, good walking distance to Disney parks and restaurants.

The staff was very nice. The property is old, but they do maintain it. The lever to place faucet in shower mode was leaking and didn't have water pressure very well.

We really enjoyed this property! Not 5* accommodations by any means, but as a family of 4 that came to enjoy Disneyland this had the space we needed, was close to the parks and was easy to get to and safe! The staff is top tier, we needed a few different things during our stay and they went above and beyond. We will absolutely be back!

Room had a funny smell to it. The walls and door are thin. I could not get a decent night of sleep cause I could hear every conversation as people walked by. With it being near Disneyland families would very up early to go to the park everyday and I was woken up every day from all the noise.

The front desk staff was very nice and got us into a room at 3pm. It was handicap (not what we booked) but we were only staying for the night since we would be at Oogie Boogie. Returned to our room right before midnight and were immediately greeted by water on our heads. Turns out there was a leak. Called front desk to let them know. I asked for a bucket but they didn’t have one. We just wanted to go to sleep. We had to change rooms and got another handicap room that smelled like someone had smoked in it. Not the best experience. The staff though is very nice so even though I was upset I wasn’t going to take it out on them. I think it’s time to look elsewhere from this property which is a bummer since we’ve been staying here since the early 2000’s.

Honestly it’s probabaly best to skip the Portofino and look for other hotels in the area. The only thing this has going for it is the at it happens to be close to Disneyland. Uranus dated, the staff is uncaring and it’s quite dirty. I had two rooms booked the first one had to be switched due to sewage leaking. The second room had broken glass and a broken fridge. Overall needs a lot of improvement before it can be recommended.

This hotel is in great location to the Disney parks as well as food establishments just up the road at new plaza. Beds comfy and free parking is massive bonus. Would recommend for families as you spend the whole day at the parks and then come back and crash. Kids used the pool no issues

The property is old. There hasn’t been an upgrade to the rooms in 10 years. It works for sleeping and the bigger rooms are great for families. When we arrived staff was attentive. They placed us in a room that smelled like raw sewage and fixed by upgrading our room to a suite in a different building. It’s just dingy and not priced like it.
