Why make a reservation?

Location, location, location! I stayed overnight on a road trip along the coast. The views and beach were beautiful, low key, and sparsely populated. I hope that doesn’t change! The accommodations were rustic, to be sure. I slept well and everything worked, but it was definitely on the shabby side - as in, exactly as it was in the mid-to late 1970s, but with 2024 prices.

Don't stay in the rustic rooms. They're quite old and the ceiling is falling down. Overall, it's a nice property, but they should just renovate the older rooms.

Great location, as we had stayed there before but this time we got a room that so depressing! No outlet in the bathroom, very small, regular size bed, only one chair, no microwave or fridge. I wanted to leave immediately but we tried to make the best of it…we didn’t use pool or hot tub so we can’t rate them. Staff was great.

We could see a little of the ocean from the room. There was a pool and jacuzzi close to the room. The breakfast room was crowded, but all in all a great place to stay.

I knew the property would be a little old but yikes. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT skip on the upgrade to the room with the view/fireplace. I thought we were ok and booked the smaller room with a view but it was really just a nasty tiny box with a sliding glass door. It was so bad we walked right out and told the front desk we couldn’t stay. We were even willing to forfeit the money if we had to. We would not stay in that room it was so smelly and no air. The front desk lady offered us an upgrade to the larger room. It was still old but so much better. The front desk lady was helpful but was kind of indifferent. When we asked later if we could have a fires on the beach she was super short with us. I didn’t think it was an outlandish question as we were able to have them on other beaches in Oregon so not sure why she was so shocked by the question. We would not stay here again and would try something else in town

It was clean, quiet. Got a deal through trivago, but the bed was very small for two people, no microwave, no frig, but it was a budget room. Have stayed at this motel once before. It is a nice motel. We would stay again if we could afford a nice room.

We enjoyed a breathtaking view of the beach, and as the stay's name suggests, the sunset view was the highlight of our entire trip. It was absolutely worth every penny, especially if you're a nature or scenery lover like me. The stay also offered direct access to the beach.

We chose the rustic room and were disappointed to find it looked like it had never been updated since the 1950s. The bathroom was tiny and we saw rust on some fixtures. On the positive side, we had an ocean view, and the indoor pool and spa were nice.

The property on the outside looked pretty good and the view is exceptional and beautiful! But we were sadly disappointed by the condition of our "rustic" room. Suffice it to say, with just a small bit of effort and design these "rustic" rooms could look so much better. Because we had to close the sliding glass door for privacy, and they had no screen, all that we had for ventilation were very small screen in the room and bathroom, which we had to clean out because they were so dirty no air could get through. When the black accordian screen was closed over the patio door it felt like we were in a small box. There was dog food still unvacuumed from the previous guest. I usually don't say too much about properties I stay at, but with the spectacular view from the room, a million dollar view, I think it would be well worth it to fix up some of the rooms. Even new paint, some pictures, and new bedspread would go a long way...i.e. the extremely old dated pictures on the wall were bolted to the wall, and believe me we had no intention of taking them, lol :( The man at the front desk was great at check in and friendly, and the view and proximity to the beach could not be better though.
