A nice clean warm room well maintained local rum and cake in the room. Excellent food served in a very friendly atmosphere even due to COVID the place was busy. Our 3rd stay here but will not be the last.
Big spacious rooms with lots of extra touches laid on to make it that much better. Fantastic breakfast with bags of choice for all .
Evening meals excellent with big portions.
Thoroughly recommend.
Wonderful place. Would definitely recommend it to everyone. Only 3 rooms so really intimate. Rooms well maintained and huge and comfortable. Lovely gesture of rum and scones left in the room. Friendly bar stuff and food out of this world!
Wow ,easy check in ,great service and the riom was exceptional with some free cake and rum that was a loveley night cap after a lovely evening meal .Just off thw A1 you would never know as the village is peaceful. As for breakfast it totaly set us up for the day. Great service ,great food ,great pub
Really good and helpful staff. Restaurant menu very upmarket and food superb - book in restaurant as early as possible as very popular. Plenty of hand sanitisers. Extra special was the shots of holy island rum and slices of cake provided every day, a really nice touch.
2nd visit here and this time brought our friend, did not disappoint again, staff super friendly nothing is too much trouble and you're made to feel welcome, we hadn't booked a table for the restaurant but they still managed to squeeze us in even though it was really busy,, evening meal was superb and well presented and a good breakfast also. Will definitely return to this delightful establishment in a quiet village central to all Northumbrian sites
Great food, really friendly staff, spacious, clean rooms with extra treats, rum and freshly made cake each day. Would definitely stay again and very reasonably priced.
Only stayed for one night midweek. Everything was excellent; the staff, our room, our dinner and breakfast. The hotel is very handy for the A1 but is in a small hamlet with no other amenities that we saw. The hotel only has 3 guest rooms so is very quiet.
I have nothing bad to say about the white swan inn. The room was beautiful with rum and cake given every day! It was quiet, just off the a1 and a 20 minute drive to alnwick, seahouses, lindisfarne and accessible to everything.
Breakfast was amazing with plenty to choose from and the hosts extremely helpful and polite. I would stay again!
