Ami at reception greeted us in a polite and helpful way. Believing the hotel had an elevator, (as I haven't visited in quite a few years,) I booked two rooms for myself and for my elderly mother who would not have been able to manage the stairs. Despite my apparent mistake and the short notice, Ami was able to provide us with a ground level room for mum. Thank you Ami!
We had a very enjoyable stay as so much has been done to the hotel to make it more attractive to travellers and locals alike. It was a surprise to me to find the hotel now has a restaurant area with indoor and outdoor seating areas as well as the bar now in the lounge area, making the downstairs a very warm space to spend the evening.
Our only gripe which prevented us from having a restful stay was the noise in the car park. Until late at night with visitors comings and goings and from very early morning with deliveries. This morning for example we were woken at 7.30am with the delivery of the beer barrels followed by food deliveries etc. all necessities, but below both mum and my windows which meant that we didn’t have as much rest as we had hoped for.
Given it is a very large car park, I wonder if something could be done to unload deliveries away from the rooms?
The stay was pleasant and I thank Kingscliff hotel as my mother’s disability prevents us from travelling to far for too long.
I hope the review is helpful.
