My stay was on a Friday while there was a show at the Playhouse. Parking for the motel was a challenge as a result. The grounds are beautiful, be prepared for some hills to climb. I would encourage visitors to enjoy an Allenberry sticky bun. Dining that's available on location is a dress up affair and reservations are recommended. But I found fast food and other dining options with 15 minutes. I met a charming couple from Michigan who shared photos of their family and gave me a lot of local history. To summarize: beautiful ambiance in a motel dated circa 1790. Warm and friendly staff and a chance to engage in wonderful conversations. PS. Actor John Travolta got his debut at the Allenberry Playhouse! How cool is that!

Beautiful property. Nice retreat with a salt water pool, fire pits, stream for trout fishing and trees all around. Food is top notch- exceptional with generous portions. We love every stay here.

Enchanted get away.
Overall a beautiful place to stay. The pool is currently closed but looks nice. The grounds are wonderful with the river running through and multiple places with fire pits and wood staged for a fire. The only area for improvement would have to be the room service, our beds weren’t made each morning unlike at most hotels we’ve stayed at. There is an absolutely fantastic restaurant on site for dinner with an incredible wait staff. The view of the grounds is enchanting with lights strung between the trees. They also do an excellent coffee and breakfast in the morning, the cafe is next to the restaurant by reception and I highly recommend trying the breakfast bowl.

Allenberry is a beautiful property on the Yellow Breeches. It is very picturesque with immaculate landscaping, charming views including fly fishermen along the creek running along the property, and gorgeous old stone buildings housing the hotel rooms and restaurant. We will return.

If they would provide room service or more food options thru out the day it would be great. Also would be great if someone would help you with your luggage when you have to climb stairs to get to your room. everything else was great! beautiful location! Stunning views!
