Tugboat is located right on Boothbay Harbor, conveniently near shops and restaurants. The room smelled moldy and the ac did not work properly. Curtains covered the opening to the vent so air was not able to circulate. I did mention this to front desk as a suggestion, they quickly blamed it on oc the proximity to the ocean. Maybe if they rem

Great location
The hotel and our room was in a great location overlooking Boothbay, ME. The room was very small but it was clean and well maintained. We did not receive and cleaning service on our second day, but otherwise the staff and the facility was very nice.

The view from my room (located at the end of a pier, hanging out over the water) was phenomenal. I loved hearing the lapping of the water against the dock and seeing the sunlight bounce off the water onto my ceiling.

This is an old style classic hotel and well worth the money. Check in is complicated due to closing of the hotel’s office. What added to the confusion was that there was a person working in the closed office yet the office doors were all locked. Room cleaning and bathroom supplies are by “request only” and require a phone call to the closed office in order to get these! This is not made clear during the checkin process.
