Quick check in warm welcome, room clean , excellent measures put in place for corona virus hand gel stations all over hotel . Meals are really tasty and come out piping hot, big cooked breakfast really tasty .
First time experience and we were extremely pleased with the welcome and subsequent service. The choice had been made on previous ratings which did not disappoint. The proprietors were very friendly and the food served was delicious and ample. It would have been wonderful to have been able to enjoy a longer stay. Would definitely recommend to others and revisit.
Spent 4 nights here. Lovely little hotel in a quiet country location but only a couple of minutes off the main road. Excellent location - good for visits to Bristol, Bath, Somerset & Dorset. John and Paula couldn't have been more helpful. Looking forward to visiting again in the future.

The owners were very nice and very friendly and helpful
There is an amazing church just around teh corner, and for a fisherman it must be a really nice place. Otherwise it is in the middle of nowhere and even the mobile reception is problematic (WiFi inside partially solves this). The breakfast is ok and the dinners are really nice. There is even an outside area - must be great if the weather is nice
Very friendly welcome from established husband and wife hands on proprietors.
Obviously years of experience have provided for everything one could wish for.
We had only just arrived and started planning a return trip. We were staying as a place to rest our heads whilst attending a wedding nearby and quickly realised we would not be able to take full advantage of this lovely hideaway.
Staff were lovely and friendly and were able to give guidance for a nice morning walk as well as nearby attractions.
The cooked breakfast was delicious and certainly appreciated post-wedding!
We hope to return very soon!
Food outstanding. John, Paula and Miles go above and beyond to ensure we were OK (problem with car).. View from room (No.2) was worth a fortune. Peace, quiet, cold beer, great spot. Close to Bristol, probably the best city in the west country for things to do. Beats Bath hands down. Local church pretty and inviting. The Ring O' Bells pub close to Cam. Lodge has great food at reasonable prices. Best short break we've had for years. We would like to go again in the Autumn.
Camely Lodge is a lovely hotel, with a personal touch. We really
enjoyed our one night stay. We had a beautiful view of the fishing lake and rolling hills from our room. The breakfast, was extra, (it would have been nice to be included) but it was very nice.....I had lovely smoked haddock...good choice and good quality.
Loved the pretty location. Restaurant was set up so beautifully that we decided to have brkfast. The bfst was delicious and attention fantastic. Had family room- Childs bed was very hard and uncomfortable for my 17 year old. Wifi was slow because of rural location I guess. Overall will definitely be back as loved this quiet pretty location.
On arrival we were greeted by a friendly young man called Victor who could not have been more helpful or polite. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The food was excellent and the service at all times was excellent too. In fact, as it is so close to Cribbs Causeway shopping complex I am thinking of rebooking with some girl friends to come for a shopping weekend and stay at Cameley again. The surrounding countryside is stunning!!
