Lovely spot for a getaway!
We had a lovely stay here. The inn has everything you need from a big, delicious breakfast to kayaks and paddle boards for water activities. We swam every day in the ocean and enjoyed the heated pool afterwards. Our room had a nice balcony with a good view of the ocean. We met lots of people and really liked being out of the hustle and bustle of Boothbay Harbor.

We loved the setting and the grounds and the location. The room lacked outlets for recharging devices. It was immaculate when we arrived, but they didn't clean it for the 4 nights we were there. They did supply clean towels, and empty the trash, but that was it. When we asked, they said they only did light cleaning.

Quaint setting with a little beach and a lot of kayaks and paddle boards to use. Breakfast was great and it was close to Booth Bay where there is lots of food options and shopping.

Arrived to a room with a broken sliding glass door with duck tape. It didn’t lock so we asked for a refund of 1 night or a new room. The owner told me she didn’t have that on the maintenance list, but I found a review from July 2021 stating a broken unlockable sliding glass door so not sure. She placed us in a new room, but we lost time waiting and had to move all of our things. Heated pool wasn’t warm. Breakfast options were not as good as other places. Parking was terrible! The view was certainly nice, but I wouldn’t return for the price based on what we received in return.

Clean, quiet, relaxing, beautiful, pool option, able to stay on property for most of the stay, delicious breakfast and dinner at restaurant on property, friendly staff. Would recommend reservations for dinner at the restaurant, and, the only improvement I would encourage is a more well trained, well organized wait staff at the restaurant to reduce wait time for meals for the excellent food that is being prepared by an obviously talented chef or chefs!

We had a wonderful stay! The included breakfast was delicious with offerings of pancakes, French toast, sausage, bacon, home fries, cereals, yogurt, granola, scrambled eggs and fried eggs. The saltwater pool was a great way to cool off without going in the ocean. There is corn hole, a fire pit, kayaks and paddle boards…so much to do. We had a wonderful time and will be coming back!

Relaxing getaway
Rooms were very clean and comfortable. The outside of the building could use a little sprucing up. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Sunsets were incredible from the beach area. We had a very relaxing stay.

Smugglers Cove is a beautiful property in East Boothbay. You aren’t in town which makes things quieter and more relaxing. The breakfast each morning was great. We had a standard two bed room. The pool was lovely and was a saltwater pool which I love. Kayaks were readily available and sunsets were beautiful. The staff was kind and knowledgeable. The chairs on the balcony’s were so nice and comfortable as well.

We really enjoyed our stay at Smuggler's Cove. We stayed in the Pier building which was beautiful. The room was updated and clean. It was exactly as pictured online which was refreshing. During the day I opened the balcony door and listened to the waves as I took a nap. We really enjoyed using the kayaks they provided to explore the harbor area and swimming in the salt water pool. We would definitely stay again. Thanks for a wonderful stay at your beautiful property!

The location was great. Close to Boothbay Harbor and Ocean Point was only about 2 miles away. Such a beautiful place. The onsite restaurant had a great full breakfast included. And dinner was excellent as well.

Our family includes two children. They found the pool and free use of kayaks to be great. The free breakfast was very good. I really liked being in East Boothbay and not Boothbay Harbor (15 min drive)

This is a converted motor lodge so the rooms were very small but refreshed and decorated tastefully. The location is about a 15 minute drive from downtown Boothbay but the geography of the area and winding roads cause that. The real star of the property is the restaurant and included breakfast which far exceeded expectations.
