Lovely historic building but difficult access
We enjoyed our stay at Madingley Hall. The only complaint we have is that our room was a very long way from reception, and up and down several flights of stairs with no lift to make things easier.

Peaceful & relaxing
Wonderful, peaceful, relaxed. Grounds & walled garden, amazing. Great selection at breakfast. Well placed for getting around; M11-south 5 mins away. Cambridge Park & Ride 10 mins away. American Military Cemetery, Museum & Chapel 5 mins away. Large garden centre near there too. Village pub 5 minutes walk down the Hall's driveway & left into village. Single room: like a residence dormitory, basic but all with all you need; ensuite bathroom, towels & mini toiletries, tv, kettle, small fridge, safe, iron, hairdryer, fan/heater. Clean comfy bed & quiet environment, nothing fancy, but i don't visit places to sit in my room. I loved it here for the location & look foward to return.

Lovely stately home - feels like a very upmarket hall of residence- spacious room - great breakfast - quiet location - great pub 500 metres away .Very limited food offering but nice bar. All the staff were friendly.

The hall and grounds were really pretty and the breakfast was excellent. The room was comfortable, and had everything we needed, but was small and very tired - in much need of a refurbishment. Having said this, I would stay again.

The building itself is impressive and the grounds lovely. Walking distance to a nice pub with grat food. The room was simple but clean, with everything we needed. The breakfast was excellent. I would definitely return.

Staying at Madingly Hall was a real treat. The building and grounds are spectacular and the staff was so kind and courteous. It is a short drive to Cambridge and a wonderfully quiet place to come home to after the hubbub of the city.

Madingley is more of an education establishment than a hotel and whilst the main building is beautiful , the accommodation at the back is clean, but tired. The conference delegates are noisy in the corridor and walls were paper thin. The food inthe cafe was excellent and the gardens are superb. Great place to draw, or paint.

It’s clearly student digs, beware it’s not a ‘hotel’. No mention of the bar serves till 8pm only and the menu is very limited! However! It’s a fabulous building and very quiet!
