My recent stay at the Hyatt Regency Cartagena was absolutely amazing! It truly is the best hotel in the area. From the moment I arrived, the service was spectacular, with staff going above and beyond to ensure a flawless visit. The amenities are outstanding, especially the pools offering breathtaking panoramic views of the Caribbean sea. The gym was well equipped and clean. My room was great, spotless, and modern, featuring amazing views that made every morning special. Furthermore, the dining was a highlight; the food was amazing with impressive quality and plenty of options to satisfy every palate. This hotel truly delivers on every front, and I highly recommend it for a luxurious and unforgettable Cartagena experience. it's also well located near the walled city!

This hotel was unbelievable. Genisis made our stay feel special especially for my girlfriend’s Birthday. This hotel is beautiful from the design to the ocean side view from all 3 pools and the room. Right next door to a shopping mall as well and so many restaurants in walking distance. I’m recommending everyone stay here.

While the staff at the Hyatt Regency Cartagena were friendly and attentive, which was a bright spot, my overall experience was quite disappointing for a hotel branded as upscale. Upon entering the room, I noticed it felt muddy underfoot and had a persistent musty smell. The carpets appeared old, dirty, and worn, giving everything a stale and outdated vibe. The furnishings and decor didn’t feel fresh or luxurious at all, it reminded me more like a Holiday Inn than a higher end Hyatt property. Housekeeping was another major letdown. The sheets were not changed daily during my stay, even after I tipped generously and specifically requested it. This lack of basic cleanliness and attention to detail really undermined any sense of comfort or luxury. I expected much more from a Hyatt Regency, especially in a beautiful destination like Cartagena. Unfortunately, this stay didn’t deliver on that. I won’t be staying at another Hyatt again.
