We did not have hot water that I could deal with the next day we went on an excursion it was great until we got back to the lodge only to find out that a tree knocked out the power there was no emergency lighting it was pitch black you couldn’t see anything I have an infection in my leg that needs regular bandage change we had to move we still had2 nights left the owner refused to give ma credit we had to relocate in the city and pay another hotel for those nights my advice do not book there how can someone expect to stay where there is no power Another thing we booked a tour with his son for another day no one showed up we waited 2 hours like fools not happy at all

Absolutely loved my stay at monkey lodge. The hosts were great. The property was so wonderful. The property is close to many national parks for hiking and other activities. It was the highlight of our trip to Panama. Would recommend 100% if you are looking for that real rainforest experience.

The owners cheerfully made every effort to be helpful. At meals in the outdoor cafe, we met the occupants of the other cottages. It was a clever Monkey Lodge arrangement to encourage making new friends. We met many interesting travelers. The grounds are beautiful. The pool contains clear, clean, cool refreshing water. Staying at the remote Monkey Lodge is a unique experience and the location between Panama City and Colon makes canal excursions convenient.

Nice place, but could be more flexible
Once you find it, this was a great place. We had a private bungalow with good facilities including a fridge. The small pool was also a treat. Food was good in the evening, breakfast not bad but no cereal. The only thing that let it down was some inflexibility - we wanted to eat dinner a bit earlier but ended up being served at the same time as others, not the hour earlier we'd asked for, and there was no choice of food if you have any special dietary needs. At breakfast we couldn't have pancakes only toast, not clear why when others seemed to be able to get that. Otherwise all good but for those reasons we will not return.

Amazing property, unique experience
Very unique experience, I loved the lush tropical feel on the resort grounds. The rooms had great air conditioning, and the showers were awesome. We stayed in the cabin directly across from the monkey enclosure which was amazing, I really enjoyed sitting in my hammock and watching the monkeys swing around the trees. Fabrice was an excellent host and made the trip very memorable!

A recommander !
Super séjour de 2 nuits. Accueil chaleureux et visite du canal de Panama avec Fabrice au top. Un de nos moments préférés de notre périple. De plus, tous leurs chiens sont adorables. Et si nous revenons au Panama nous repasserons par cette étape incontournable. Merci à Fabrice et à son épouse pour votre accueil.
