This historic hotel was perfectly restored, with a mix of historic styled interiors and modern art. As an art history enthusiast, I thought it was uniquely beautiful. Staff were phenomenal without being overbearing or fake. I used to work in hospitality so I notice these things. Looking forward to returning, as is my mom who lives in Iowa.

We stay here every time we visit Des Moines. What an AMAZING place! Nothing but good things to say. I’ve paid way more for a much less desirable experience. Comfortable, quiet, good service, etc. I feel like home when I stay here and will definitely be back!

All staff are so personable and friendly! Parking here is $25, but the parking garage across the street is $10. The happy hour they have is so fun and has great snacks and drinks! Pool is a good size too. Rooms are very spacious with a pretty comfy bed!

Staff was nice, there was only one towel in our double room upon checkin. No towels in the pool area, but front desk staff took care of it quickly. The pool area is large and the kids loved the heated outdoor pool. The pool was very busy and loud, but the kids enjoyed it.
