Coastal Retreat is a fabulous home in Villages of Crystal Beach that boasts lovely floors, a gorgeous kitchen, and a secure neighborhood with an incredible lagoon pool. This 4-bedroom, 3.5 bath home sleeps 12. The master is on the first floor with a king bed. Upstairs there are two queen bedrooms, and a bunkroom that sleeps 4. Villages of Crystal Beach is an exclusive, gated community only a few blocks from the beautiful blue waters and white sandy beaches of Destin. You can make the walk on foot or hop on the free seasonal trolley service (Memorial Day through Labor Day) they will even pick you up at the house and drop you off right at the beach! The pool area at Villages of Crystal Beach is a vacation must! The lagoon style zero entry pool is 30,000 square feet of gorgeous, sparkling clear water. There is a spa, tropical landscaping, and plenty of seating areas. It also has surround sound, a flat screen TV, and a grilling area to help you relax and unwind.

Please note that there are parking restrictions within the Villages of Crystal Beach. There are two parking spaces available in the driveway of the home. Trailers, RV's, boats, golf carts, and motorcycles are not allowed within the community gates; alternate parking arrangements will need to be made for these items. 

Area Attractions: 

There are wonderful shops and restaurants close by and great attractions such as golf courses, Big Kahuna's Water and Adventure Park, boating, fishing, and watersports. 

Close by is Destin Commons, a beautifully landscaped, pedestrian-friendly area and a great family venue where children will love to play in the interactive water fountains. Also, for the younger guests, a nautically/pirate themed outdoor playground features a 1,750 square foot soft play area with various creatures from the sea, slides, and a treasure chest!  Destin Commons also has a mini train for the kids. Destin Commons features over 75 shops and restaurants, including Godiva Chocolates, AMC Movie Theaters and Bass Pro Shop.

If you are near Miramar Beach, the snorkelers in your group will love the new artificial reef called Dolphin Reef, deployed in 2017.  Located just 685 feet straight out from the Miramar Regional Public Beach access (by Pompano Joe's), it is becoming a haven for sea life. Each of the 4 snorkeling reefs comprises 40 acres of permitted sea bottom. The Dolphin Reef is at a depth of 12-20 feet. We strongly recommend that snorkelers use a kayak, paddleboard, or other flotation device when visiting the snorkel reefs. Sea conditions can and do change quickly and often. Enjoy!

We really liked the house and location. The team responded immediately to our needs. The only improvement I would make is to kitchen items...we only had 1 dish towel, no serving bowls for salad, etc and there weren't any containers for leftovers.

Really happy with our stay. The house was great, clean and we liked the location. Its about 15 minutes from the beach if you are walking. I was a little disappointed with the included supplies. We were staying for a week and we ended up having to buy things like toilet paper because not enough was provided. Included was soup for running the dish washer twice, one roll of paper towels. It would have been nice to have a little more included so we dont immediately have to run to the store for these items. There were a couple things needing repair in the home, but they were minor. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay here.

Staying at the Costal Retreat overall was excellent! The place was so spacious and located super close to the beach and all the activities that we wanted. The pool was awesome and had great hours. My only issues with the place was that it was listed on the property that were would be a shuttle to get us to and from the beach and every time we called there was no answer to the shuttle so we had to either walk (which was not a biggie) or try and find parking. The place was located near Crab Trap beach which was super beautiful! I also wish there was a way to have access to a golf cart but overall we really enjoyed our stay and I will be for sure looking to book with Real Joy again in the future :)

A Great Place to Stay
Wehad a fantastic experience. The property was exactly as described - clean, spacious, and well-maintained. The location was ideal, just a short walk from the beach and close to great restaurants and shops. We especially enjoyed relaxing on the private balcony. The owner was friendly and responsive, making the booking and check-in process smooth. We would highly recommend this rental to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable stay in Destin!

We really enjoyed our stay, everything was nice and clean. Neighborhood was nice also, walking distance to pool and beach. If I had any complaint it would be that there is not enough overflow parking, and one of the remotes was missing from the living room, so we had to purchase one, and replace some batteries in the others. Overall had a wonderful time and would rent again.

Our family booked a very last minute vacation. The booking and arrival process was very easy. The home itself was very clean and decorated very cute definitely gives you beach house vacation vibes. We had our children and grandchildren of various ages from infant to teen, the home accommodated all perfectly! The beach is a short distance from the house, if you do not wish to walk or drive a trolly can be accessed very easily. The pool was also easily accessible and was perfect for the toddlers as well as the teens! Overall we were very pleased and had a wonderful stay!

The rental property was very nice, but there could have been more cleaned better.
This property is nice, but we were disappointed in the dirty floors. The mop was dirty, and the broom was worn out with balls of hair in it. We had to purchase batteries for some of the TV remotes. I've stayed at rentals before and never had to buy batteries.

10 members of my family fit comfortably in this cute home. We enjoyed seeing some family photos of the owners on the walls! The only complaint we had was the comfort level of the master bed and the stiffness of the pillows. The bed rolled each of us to the center. So, if the bed were replaced and we had the option of a softer pillow, this would be a top pick!

Many items needing repair.
There were many things in the house needing serious repair. The washer is full of mold and has very strong odor, the bunk beds broke and fell on my granddaughter below, the refrigerator seal was broken and noticed upon arrival. The bunk beds need replaced, not more screws as the wood is split and broken. Someone is going to be hurt by them falling again. Outside of that, we had a great time . The pool was nice, but was in comfortable walking distance .

Amazing Rental!
We had so much fun on our trip to Destin. This property was perfect for our group of 12! The pool and hot tub were incredible! Watch out for Patty at the pool, she super strict on rules. Everyone else at the pool was awesome and the kids had SO much fun! Would highly recommend this rental and will probably rent again!
