Holiday Surf and Racquet Club is located directly on the beach in exclusive Holiday Isle, which is a peninsula surrounded by the Gulf of Mexico and Destin Harbor. Amenities featured are the seasonally heated pool, 2 lighted tennis courts, BBQ grilling area, shuffleboard, exercise rooms and saunas. There is free wifi in the lobby and pool areas. There are also coin operated Laundry facilities. Once you stay in Holiday Isle, you'll want to come back year after year!

Temporary structures, including, but not limited to, towed house trailers, houseboats, tents, or temporary structures of any kind are prohibited on Holiday Isle, except to the extent set forth herein. Umbrellas are permitted on the beaches in a manner consistent with these Covenants provided that their use is in compliance with state and local laws and regulations. Set up of umbrellas can occur only after beach cleaning has been completed. Umbrellas shall not exceed 8 feet in diameter.

Area Attractions: 

If you haven't been to Holiday Isle, you're in for a treat. It's a serene, little oasis in the middle of Destin, with 2 and a half miles of paved trails for walking and biking, surrounded by quiet neighborhoods perfect for exploring on a bike. It's just minutes away from restaurants, shopping, boat docks, fishing, golf, and amusements.

An easy walk along the beach will take you to the jetties, where the Gulf of Mexico and Destin Harbor meet, a spot well-known for great snorkeling and fishing. Here you can also watch boats going out deep sea fishing and returning from gulf to harbor.

Close by is Destin Commons, a beautifully landscaped, pedestrian-friendly area and a great family venue where children will love to play in the interactive water fountains. Also, for the younger guests, a nautically/pirate themed outdoor playground features a 1,750 square foot soft play area with various creatures from the sea, slides, and a treasure chest!  Destin Commons also has a mini-train for the kids. Great place on the beach

Loved the condo, the pool was warm and the beach was close. The front desk employees weren’t super friendly. There weren’t many things in the condo for guests - no salt/pepper, no extra trash bags, no cooking oil like we’ve seen at a lot of other vrbos. The information real joy provided re WiFi was out of date. Tennis and pickleball on site was a great perk.

Great Condo!

The overall condo was everything as stated in pictures. It has been the best looking condo we have stayed in at holiday isle. The only minor things was the cleanliness of the floor left your feet black and the trash bags that were provided were way too small for the trash cans in the kitchen, which was a little irritating every time you threw something away the bag would fall to the bottom. I would stay here again given the quality of the condo. Thanks!

Holiday Surf & Racquet

We stayed on floor 2. Upon arrival the unit was clean and actually larger than expected. We traveled with two adults and four kids this trip and we had neighboring family members coming to visit throughout our stay. The property is secure and staff is very helpful. Our unit was managed by RealJoy and we booked through VRBO. The front desk and management staff were very helpful even though they were not the managers of the unit. We washed towels halfway through our trip and the laundry units on floor 4 and 6 were clean and open. Couple suggestions: At check-in, grab a luggage or shopping cart. The luggage carts at right out of a hotel and will likely hold ALL of your stuff in one trip. If you’re a unit closest to the beach, it will be a bit of a walk from the elevators but one trip is easy. There are stairways along the sides of the buildings. When you go to the beach, find the closest stairway and take it to the ground level. Quick access to the beach walkway. Our unit didn’t have reserved chairs on the beach. It was not an issue. We’ve spent time on 30A, Watercolor, etc. Chairs are always crazy expensive and you had to beat the rush. The beach staff here let’s you come down in the mornings and throw a towel or shirt over an umbrella to hold it. I went out at 7:30 one morning and grabbed an umbrella. We didn’t go back to the beach until noon and our setup was ready. Staff will come charge you…$50, two chairs. It’s a deal! Tips appreciated! We’ll be back!

Great Location With Oceanview!

The condo is located in a wonderful location. It’s an older building but nicely remodeled inside. My only complaint was that it wasn’t as clean as I would have liked. I ended up wiping down the balcony table and chairs so we could use them. I cleaned the toilets a bit because they didn’t appear clean and I have a little one. But it did not take away from an amazing trip. The front desk staff was very friendly. Parking was easy and close. The beach was beautiful and the pool area was very nice. We would stay at this location in the future.

Amazing!

This condo is exactly what we needed. The rooms were spacious, clean and inviting. The balcony view is perfect. High enough to see the ocean and only on the second floor so it is easy access to everything. The kitchen was fully loaded, so we were able to stay and cook for dinners, lunch and breakfast. This condo is a great one for a family. We will definitely be returning!

A Great Place to Stay

We enjoyed our time at this property. It is bright, clean, and spacious. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. TAKE NOTE that the stove top only works with the metal handled pots. The front office has pickle ball and tennis equipment to borrow and the beach out front is white sands and clear water. While this unit does not include beach service, we had our own beach chairs and it wasn't a big deal. The property managers were very responsive to the few issues that we had.

Great location and unit - missing a few details

Overall the location and the unit was great and just as described and expected. The main microwave (over the range) didn't work but there was a second one on the counter which worked just fine. The dishwasher didn't work properly (soap lid didn't open automatically) so we had to open manually and run again. The linens (mainly the bedding blankets) were not clean. There was a blood stain on the master bedroom comforter which is a bit unnerving. But as I said overall we were pleased with the unit, complex and the location. Having the tennis courts right out your door was great. Will definitely stay here again.

Nice but needs some improvements...

This unit appealed to my husband and I as it is updated and upon first glance had the amenities we were looking for. Unfortunately, some key things were problematic. The floors turned my husbands feet gray; they should have been mopped. The drain stop in the guest bathroom did not work, which made giving our 4 year old son a bath difficult. The stove is a glass cooktop, which requires special pans, and there were none to use. We ended up buying a griddle to use to cook breakfast. We found the beds to be comfortable and the unit to be nicely decorated, and there was plenty of storage space, but unless the items above are addressed, we won’t be back to this unit. We have stayed at 2 other units at this property and would choose to go back to one of those first. Also note that beach access is not complementary and costs $40 with this rental and needs to be paid separately.

Beautifully upgraded condo

The room was upgraded and decorated beautifully. Light colors and clean floors/bathrooms/bedrooms/kitchen. View is nice and the balcony is private which we enjoyed at night. We had trouble turning on the stove top even after using directions but I didn’t bother reaching out to the owners as my family rented a unit in the same condo as us and we were able to use their stove top instead. Passcode was emailed to us and check in took 5 mins up front. Lots of great local food close by and I’d definitely recommend staying here.

Great location

Great location and view. Pictures are accurate. Had to clean the kitchen floor when we got there,had something sticky on it. The entire floor of the unit needs a good scrubbing. Enjoyed the balcony. We ate some of our meals there. The beach is steps away. Renting chairs and umbrella is pricey,but worth it. I guess because of Covid there are no condiments or beach equipment in the unit. Beds are very comfortable. Master shower is a little tricky,lots of handles that I didn’t know how to use. Many good places to eat seafood close by. Recommend, The Marina Cafe, Dewey Destin,Pompano Joe’s and Burrito del sol. Overall great experience!

Very disappointed!

Being described as on the beach was misleading. Not happy with cleanliness inside the condo but exterior, walkways, lobby & elevators more disappointing. All exterior areas need a deep vcleaning & exterior needs paint. Woukd not recommend & woukd never reserve this property again.
