The property was above and beyond. A little downside was that for people with light sleep, you could hear outdoor noise during weekends. Maybe a white noise machine in the room will help to cover the external noise. I love the dog terrace and all the treats that my dog received at check in (huge dog bed, ceramic plates, tennis ball and treats) Best dog amenities he had from all hotels we visited. I loved the Shinola and I am already recommending it to everyone. Even the smallest room is huge and construction, decor and furniture are very chic and top notch.

One of a kind.
We love your hotel and have stayed with you a few times and have one future date at the moment. The attention to detail is awesome. Our recent room seemed to be showing some signs of wear. The bed had a hump in the middle and pronounced depressions on both side. The sofa was a bit saggy. The bathroom and shower were excellent and things were very clean.

Lovely hotel although our daughter's room, while the same price, looked out on an alley and dumpster. The man who checked us in never said that a refundable 200/room would be added so i had to question it. And the valet people were very slow and unhelpful.

The location of the property was perfect. I was in town for the Lions game and the stadium is walking distance. The property is also walking distance of several eating options and also a convenient store was extremely friendly and helpful housekeeping did an outstanding job. The room was rather small. For my next stay, I will probably book a suite.

Nice boutique older hotel. Convenient to Detroit Comerica Park, Ford field, and red wings. Very clean, bathroom updated, free water otherwise everything in fridge is pricey. Front desk friendly enough but couldn't figure out how to put food charges on separate credit card. (Long story) I would stay here again unless something less expensive was available. We paid $550 for 1 night.
